We ended up watching a movie. I was a little hesitant to watch Friday the 13th, after last night, but they convinced me. Once the movie was over, I had to head home so I could get ready to go over to Tatum's.

They dropped me off, and I ran inside, locking the door behind me. I went to my room, and started to get my stuff together.

Once I was all ready, I looked at the time, seeing it was only about 6:30. I looked around my room before grabbing my backpack and pulling out a book. I sat down on the couch, taking out my bookmark and getting lost in the newest Stephen King novel.

The phone ringing made me jump. I closed the book and reached over, grabbing the receiver off the hook. "Hello?" I asked, glancing up at the clock on the wall to see it was 7:45. Shit I was reading way longer than I thought. What happened to Tatum and Sid coming to get me?

"Haze," I heard Billy breathe into the phone.

"Billy?" I asked. "What's wrong?"

"Sid was attacked by the killer," he said and I gasped.

"Is she-?"

"She's okay," he cut me off. "But I was walking by and heard screaming. The front door was locked so I went through the window. She thinks it was me! She thinks I'm the killer and now I'm sitting at the station."

"She got you arrested?" I gasped.

"Yeah, and she won't listen to me."

"Have you called your dad?"

"Sheriff Burke got a hold of him," he sighed. "Do you think you could come? I really need you here."

My heart melted at this, and I nodded, putting my book away and standing up. "Of course. I'll be there as soon as I can."

"Thank you, Haze," he sighed, and I smiled. He hung up and I ran my hand through my hair looking around the room. Mom took the car to work, and Tate is probably with Sidney right now. I quickly dialed Stu tapping my foot as I waited for him to answer. "Hello?"

"Stu, it's Hazel. Can you come pick me up?"

"Uh, yeah, of course. Everything okay?"

"Billy was arrested."

"What?" he asked, and I could picture his eyes wide in shock.

"Sid thinks he's the killer." I shook my head in annoyance. "He asked me to come to the station. He needs us, Stu."

"I'll be right there. Hold on."

"Thanks, Stuy."

I grabbed my keys and locked up the house, waiting on the porch steps, watching the road for Stu.

The usual fifteen-minute drive only took him about seven when he sped down the road, screeching to a stop in front of my house. I rushed over, jumping into the passenger seat.

He sped off, making our way to the station. I was bouncing my knee, chewing my lip nervously. "Why would Sidney think Billy's the killer?" Stu asked, glancing over at me for a moment.

"I guess she was attacked and then he showed up. I don't know the full story."

He shook his head. "Crazy man, Billy wouldn't do anything like that."

"I know," I said. How could Sid think Billy would ever do something like this?

Once he parked, we both got out, rushing past the reporters and going inside. I pushed past an officer, seeing Tatum standing beside Dewey's desk where Sid sat. Stu and I came over, the two of them looking at us, confused. "What are you guys doing here?" Tatum asked.
