September 1st arrived too soon for Althea's liking.
With the shrunken trunk, the backpack on her shoulder and the bag that never got put down, Althea arrived at platform four and three quarters together with the weasleys, she had been picked up from privet drive on Dumbledore's orders with two ministry of magic cars.
Luckily she had been able to sit with Fred and George, during the months when everyone had avoided her the twins,Neville and a little Ravenclaw named Luna Lovegood had been the only ones who kept her from completely isolating herself, the only ones who didn't believe she was unbeknownst to her there were also two Slytherins and a Hufflepuff who were absolutely determined she was not the heir.
The twins didn't have their usual behavior, they seemed tired and worried, when Althea used her rain flames to make them relax she noticed something.
Flames, flames like she had never felt, Fred's resembled those of lightning and those of George resembled the storm, but they were completely different at the same time, so that was what worried the two, Soulfire was not well seen in the magical world.
"The three of us, with Luna and Neville need to have a nice chat later" this cemented Althea's determination to tell the four what had happened over the summer.
The twins simply nodded, something in Althea's tone kept them from denying the request.
Just before boarding the train Althea's senses were touched by a myriad of mist flames, Xanxus and his guardians had come to greet her even if they could not do so openly.
Althea smiled at her brother who signaled her in sign language to not let the garbage get in her way.
The train's whistle was the signal for Althea to get on, a final farewell to her family and she found herself in the train corridor looking for a compartment.
"Thea we're here," Neville's calm voice called.
Once in the compartment with her four friends and after some pleasantries Luna asked "those flames were absolutely magnificent, since when did you have contact with the mafia?"
To say everyone was surprised is an understatement, but before answering Althea attached runes to the sides of the door to create a private space.
The next hour Althea recounted everything that had happened over the summer, the mafia, her brother, the Varia, and the flames.
"Oh like these right?" Luna asked, showing a flame similar to a mass of sand.
At the same time Fred held up a hand covered in magma stones and flames, George looked like he was covered in swamp water and Neville had a rust colored flame.
"They don't look like any flame i've seen" Althea was stunned.
"It's normal, my mother said that magicians embody the bond with the earth, and those who do not possess magic have the possibility of touching heaven. In short the mafia possess the flames of the courage to die of heaven while magicians the flames of earth's courage to die. It's rare for a wizard to awaken their flames. While I'm surprised Neville is an earth, I expected a forest because of the way plants love him, ah, secondary affinity. I am a desert that opposes the mist, Fred is the mountain that rivals the lightning and George the swamp that corresponds to the storm. For your information this knowledge has passed in my family since the time of our ancestor Rowena Ravenclaw. Which flame do you possess, Althea?" Luna explained in a dreamy voice.
Getting over the fact that Luna had just dismissed the fact that she was descended from Ravenclaw as if it were nothing, Althea replied, "sky with secondary affinity of sun and rain."
