The secret pact between the Vindex and the reformed alliance had been ratified to Nono and Xanxus, who were naturally expected to keep their mouths shut (and the mafia law were becoming addicted to Althea's cooking had been too much fun).

Reborn meanwhile was taking photos in a corner with Viper, both of them had been warned by Althea that if anyone followed them they would have a nice surprise, so they were taking the opportunity to collect blackmail material, while giggling at the ridiculous scene in front of them,even Bester and Sasha crouched in a corner with Hedwig, seemed to laugh.

Meanwhile in Vendicare Alejandro was trying to get rid of the hideous pink dress,while Bremuda read a note from Althea, who asked whoever was in charge of acting as a bodyguard to do so from a greater distance, it was not necessary to be so close during the appointment.

Breaking the curse on the Simon rings wasn't difficult at all, during the night of the full moon they simply had to bathe them in the blood of the promise and set them on fire with the flames of Althea, but the only thing they had to have explained to them by Talbot was the fact that the thing it had to be done in conjunction with the strengthening of the Vongola rings with the co called 'penale' aka a vial of giottos blood that had been delivered to Talbot.

Then Simon and Vongola X began a long series of training sessions to learn how to use the rings.

Meanwhile, Althea was very busy translating a series of diaries from Godric Gryffindor, which she had found by chance while bringing back some objects that had been used in the ritual to the Potter's vault, her intuition had pointed them out almost painfully, but after having translated the first pages she decided to analyze them in every detail.

Because Godric had a sister, who had been forced to wear the rainbow sun pacifier and all his life Godirc had searched for a solution to the curse but had failed.

Something was missing to complete the ritual he had studied. He had left his journals to his descendants in the hope that one of them might find the missing item.

But he had managed to discover who checkerface was and the true purpose of the curse.

The pages that Althea had translated were merely and introduction to the work that Godric and Salazar had begun (Godric's sister was Salazar's fiancee and the fact that checkerface was incapable of using magic was the last straw in a world plagued by the witch hunt, which led to Salazar to hate muggles), but they were probably the solution she and Viper were looking for.

Althea and Viper immediately began translating the 30 diaries and searching the crypts for other clues; they had finally found a clue to breaking the rainbow curse.

Finally the day of the ceremony had arrived.

Tsuna, Hayato, Takeshi, Mukuro, Chrome, Lambo, Ryohei, even Kyoya all wore the same black suit, the only difference was the color shirt, which reflected that of their flames.

Mukuro and Chrome stood close together, twin rings with the mist emblem on their fingers, they would share the role of guardian, as Talbot had confirmed after the ritual when the mist ring was split, apparently two twins could share the same fiamma, or as in their case two soulmates (the faces of Mukuro and Chrome when in practice they were told they were made for each other and that neither of them had the courage to confess their own feelings had been incredible).
