They came into the restaurant and got seated by the host.
Loki pulled out her chair, and scooted it in for her as Trinity sat down.
"Thank you Mr. Charming" She slyly grinned at him.
Loki shook his head and laughed to himself.
"So, what do you want to know? Like where should I start?" Trinity asked as she studied him.
Loki didn't take his eyes off hers. "Please start at the beginning. What brought you to this town?"
Trinity shifted her eyes some then sighed. "My ...my family basically disowned me after my parents died. They didn't like my choices in any thing. Always made me feel like I was doing something wrong in life and even blamed me for my mom's death. So when John came into my life, I seen it as an opportunity to start fresh. Move on and make something of myself. He was from here and I didn't put up a fight when he wanted to get me away from everyone. Staying down south wasn't an option. "
"How did they die? If you don't mind me asking."
"Oh, I don't mind. I like talking about them especially my Daddy. We was super close. No one up here has even asked much about them. My mom had heart problems and my Dad had cancer. Still struggle with it a lot. I didn't properly grieve because of how my family did me and I went into survival mode. So it will hit all wonky and I'll be a wreck. So I'm sorry ahead of time."
Loki grabbed her hand and gently squeezed it.
"First off, I am sorry to hear all that. No one should loose a parent let alone both of them at such a young age. And never ever apologize for grieving. I will be here wether we dating or not, I am not going any where so if you need to let it out, you got two shoulders to do so on!"
Trinity looked at him oddly.
"What my pet? What's with that look?"
"You....you don't think I should be 'over it'? That I shouldn't be so sensitive and let it bother me so much?"
Loki closed his eyes and shook his head. "They did a real number on you, didn't they? There is no limit on grieving or how you should or shouldn't feel. So no, I don't think that you should be over it. Honestly, loosing a parent isn't something you ever get over. So my offer still and will always stand. No matter when or where."
Trinity couldn't help but grin super big at him and then look down with a sigh of relief.
"Thank you. You don't know how much that helps and let's me let my guard down so much."
"Good! I am glad I can help. I know it's going to take a little bit but I am not him or them so please know I won't ever react how they have in the past."
"I will say something that I haven't said to anyone except my Daddy...and I feel calm enough to tell you. Yes, we don't know much about each other, we still learning and such but I trust you....fully. Something about you makes me feel calm and like I can actually relax and be myself. Thank you. I appreciate it!"
"Anytime. I told you when we first started this that I would never use your own emotions or anything against you and I stand by that. You also make me feel calm and safe to be myself as well. You don't look at me as others have. You see past the BS I put up. So thank you as well"
They sat for a few minutes, holding hands and staring at each other.
Trinity broke the silence first. "So, tell me about you? What brought you here besides finding random bar women to do while your brother is with his girlfriend?." She gave him a playing laugh.
"Hey now! In my defense, before all this, I was bored here...but I guess I came so I could find something of worth and meaning. To do something besides chase after random bar women as you say. " He shot her a sly grin as Trinity shook her head.
"You close to your brother? Is he the only sibling you got?"
"Some what. We have our moments like most siblings but when it comes down to it, I know I can rely on him."
"Good, wish I could say that. My brother hasn't even talked to me since I moved here...so..about 15 years now."
"Damn! That sounds harsh. Me and Thor have had our issues, trust me, but we could never go that long without talking."
"Yeah, no one really liked John and I was already having issues with family as I said...so yeah...." She shifted some in her chair.
Loki took that as a sign to change the subject.
"So tell me a good memory from here? Or something good that came from you moving here?"
Trinity thinks for a moment. "Well, I made a couple good friends. Monica and Caleb from the cafe. I think you had a chance to meet Monica." She laughed.
"Yeah, I did. She is very direct. But that's refreshing. "
"Haha let me guess...she told you to not hurt me or she would hunt you down?"
"Something like that. Haha"
"Yeah, ever since she met John she became super protective. She just wants to make sure you're the real deal and not like him."
"Well, she is doing a good job. You think she trusts me with you?"
"We are on this date aren't we?" Trinity laughed. "If she didn't trust you, we would have not talked anymore after I ran out. We would definitely not be on this date."
Loki laughed and took a sip of his drink. "Well okay then. Glad to know haha"

They sat for the next few hours, talking and enjoying the evening.
They was walking home and as they got to the door, Loki stopped Trinity and turned her to face him.
Trinity looked up at him as Loki places both hands on each side of her face and brought her close for a deep kiss. She melts into the kiss and she deepens it and pulls him closer.
"I could do that all night!"
"Well, why don't we? I definitely need more of those!" Trinity gave him a sly smirk and led him inside with her.
"What are up to my silly girl? I don't want you to feel you need to prove anything. "
Trinity grabbed Loki in a hug. "I don't feel that way. I just need you....I know it's going to sound dumb...but I...need you to just kiss me like that some more and just hold me....let me feel your arms around me....let me feel safe..."
"That definitely doesn't sound dumb...and I will gladly do as you wish!" He gave her a sly crooked grin. "I love kissing those perfect lips of yours"
She blushed and led him into her bedroom. She whipped around and pulled him closer. "God, you smell amazing...so intoxicating..." She stood on her tip toes and started passionately kissing him.
He led her back and they kept kissing as they laid down on the bed. They kissed for a few hours and she snuggled up close to him.
"Thank you for a perfect night...and thank you for this! It has been a while since I've felt safe in someone else's arms!"
She laid her head on his chest, sighed a happy sigh and closed her eyes. Loki gave her a kiss on the top of her head and played with her hair until she fell asleep. He finally felt worthy of someone and he knew that no matter how this turned out. She never would ever have to feel like John made her ever again!
