Trinity & Loki - A Love Affair

Meeting the dumbasses...

Her phone rang "ugh who the hell..." She said sleepily...reaching out to grab her phone..."hello?"
"Oh was you still in bed? Probably it is only 9 am" They laughed slightly...
It was her friend Anna. She always said little things that made her whince. They came out as jokes but was just really little jabs...
"I had a weird night...but what's up?" She asked as she raised up outta bed. She wasn't sure how she even got there. She knew her and Loki had had a nice dinner and spent the rest of the night watching one of her favorite movies Thor: Ragnarok. She didn't even remember falling asleep.
"Me and Zach are having a get together and we haven't hung out much..so you should come over!"
"Err sure I mean..didn't you guys just have one?"
"Oh umm not really..Zach has a few of his work friends over...but we just have a fire and inviting everyone"
"Oh um sure...I guess. I don't work tonight so it works out!"
"Sounds good...see you at 7!" She hung up before she could say anything else.
"Uggghh what did I just agree to??"
She laid there...and gave serious thought to just canceling on Anna. She didn't wanna go to just drink and hear drama. She had enough of that in her own life.
"Welp great I am awake now...might as well get up for breakfast"...
She got up and put on one of her over sized t shirts. Something about a huge shirt just made her feel safe...and comfy. It might seem dumb but it was her...happy place...
She walked out into the kitchen to an amazing smell...and then she saw Loki at the stove, stirring some batter in a bowl...
"Oh good morning!" She said kinda cautiously.."umm we didnt..umm" She got super nervous and lost all nerve...
Loki turned around and saw she was just in a shirt..and gulped real hard and turned back around "damn it man...get it together..you're a God! You know better...but she looked so good..."
He sat the bowl down and grabbed a plate from the cupboard. "I hope you're hungry...I made pancakes..it's not much but I figured you like to not cook for once"
He sat down 2 pancakes in front of her.
"And to answer you question, no we did not. You fell asleep during our movie so I put you in your room to be more comfortable..and I came out to clean up..heard you having a nightmare...and it sounded like a bad one..so I figured I would stay just in case you needed someone for a while...and I guess I fell asleep on the couch...I'm sorry..just didn't want you to be alone"
She couldn't believe it. Not only did he care if she got home, he also cared enough to keep an eye on her during a very vulnerable time.
She took a bite of pancake.."oh okay...I didn't mean nothing bad ...I just didn't...didn't want you to think that that's all I wanted...I'm sorry...thank you for breakfast..these are amazing ...and thank you for being here...I hate my nightmares. They started the same night John decided to tell me he was leaving me for Marie"
"It's fine. I know you enough to know that this is way more than just a one night stand thing. We are friends..least that's how I see it..and whenever or whatever you need..I am here.."
He grabbed himself some pancakes and came to sit by her...."so what's your plans for today?" He asked as he took a sip of coffee.
"Well, I have the day off work..I was gonna do some cleaning..and just go through all this extra crap John left me with..and Anna called earlier and invited me to their place for a fire tonight...I said yes...but I don't even know anymore...hate going alone and just sitting there..."
"That sounds like a long day...if you want, I can tag along to the fire...and even help you burn some of his stuff!" He said with a little smirk.
She laughed at him. "Haha deal!...but only if you let me smash it all first!"
They finished up their breakfast and did up the dishes together.
"Thank you again for breakfast, I'm gonna go get dressed...and take a quick shower...so I'll be back..." She smiled and walked into her bedroom. She grabbed her phone and pulled up Anna's number.
"Hey, bringing a friend tonight with me...just letting you know..see ya at 7!"

She took a quick shower and found some random comfy clothes to wear...some jean shorts and an oversized t-shirt.
She came out to Loki sitting on the couch...he was in some khakis and a blue button down shirt...unbuttoned just enough to see his chest some.
"Damn! Well, that's gonna be on my mind all day now..."
Loki was reading more of the book on Norse mythology...he looked up when she came into the room...
"Damn..." He gulped...put down his book and stood up. She could make even the simplest thing look so beautiful...
"I got us some boxes...so we can divide up...things...I even wrote what each was for..."
She looked at the boxes..."keep...donate...burn in pits of hell!" She laughed at the last one. "Haha nice! Thank you...and thank you for giving up your Saturday to help me do this..."
"No problem! You ready to do it?"
They started working, tossing things into boxes...most of it was either burn or donate...she didn't want much of the crap...not even sure why she even took so much with her to begin with.
She looked at the clock and it was already 5 PM.
"Wow! We've been doing this all day! Dang...but we got all but like 4 boxes done!"
She sat down on the couch, worn out..."ugh I don't wanna go tonight now haha I hurt...and I'm tired..."
He laughed...."May I?" He asked as he sat behind her...
"Umm sure? What are you gonna doooo...oo that feels amazing!"
She relaxes to his touch...as he is massaging her shoulders and back. He notices how tense she is and tries to make sure he gets every inch of her.
"Just trying to help...haha...I noticed you was in pain earlier..."
She stiffened up some...and moved away..."umm I got it..I can take care of it..and help finish get this done..."
He grabbed her arm and said "Hey! Listen...breathe...you got the right to need a break..okay?...nothing wrong or lazy about it"
She turned to face him, with a few tears in her eyes. "I'm sorry...it's just...it takes me a little while to ....*sigh*...I am just sorry."
He gently used his hand under her chin to bring her eyes to his..."never apologize to me my dear...you have nothing to ever be sorry for"
They sat there for a few minutes. He wanted desperately to kiss her but he also didn't want to ruin the friendship he had built with her. Plus it wasn't the right time at this moment.
"Umm.." She looked down some and smiled slightly..."I guess we better head towards Anna's...do you need to clean up before we go?" She looked back up at him...not moving away..even an inch...even though her head told her to. She was tired of being scared...tired of just being tired...she wanted to feel alive again...
He swallowed and felt his heart skip a beat as he stared into those deep blue eyes of hers. "I thought about just a quick shower...if you don't mind?"...
"Nope go right ahead. There is towels in the closet that is by the bathroom.
"Thanks! I'll be quick!" He got off the couch and headed towards the bathroom...he grabbed a towel, got undressed and got in the shower...
"Damn...what am I doing? I can't confuse her...she needs a friend right now...I just ..I just damn it...I fell to hard for this mortal..I can't stand how they've let her just fall apart...how they all just left her to fend for herself..." He clenched his fists in anger..and calmed himself before he used his magic. He didn't want to explain that to her just yet.
He finished washing off and got out. He used his magic quick to get dressed. He decided on a a pair of black jeans with a dark blue long sleeve shirt. He pulled the sleeves up some so they showed some of his arms.
He walked back out into the living room to find her sitting on the couch...looking very intensely at her phone.
"Hey, what's wrong? "
She looked up from her phone and tossed it aggressive at the chair. "Ugh my stupid ex...he sent me a text saying he heard about me bring a friend tonight...and told me to not tell you about him....who the fuck does he think he is?! I will tell you whatever I damn well please and he can kiss my ass!"
He stood there with his arms folded...grinning at her...he loved seeing her feisty side...and he knew that if he tried anything tonight...she definitely wouldn't need his help to put him in his place!
