Trinity & Loki - A Love Affair

Finally found Home!!

Trinity went to the dining hall to find some food.  She walked in and there was a few people sitting around a couple of tables.
She nervously looks around as she hadn't been out much on her own. She looks and see Thor sitting at one table with Lady Sif and Odin and then Heimdall sitting at another with a few of the locals.
She starts to wring her hands some as she felt a presence near her.
"You must be Trinity...Loki's words haven't done you justice!"
She turned around to a man with dirty blonde hair, rugged beard, a muscular build and a charming smile. She kinda smiled some and just nodded.
"Oh I'm sorry...where are my manners? My name is Fandral. I'm friends with Loki and Thor. I'm sorry if I startled you..."
He bowed his head towards her and he held out his hand.
Trinity felt some better as she remembered both of them talking fondly of Fandral.
She met his hand and shook it as she smiled.
"Oh! Hey! Sorry I just hate crowds and new places. Loki is usually with me but he's gone off on some sort of project...and my stomach wouldn't be quiet so I came here but I'll just go to my room and wait on Loki. Nice to meet you!"
Trinity turned to leave, but Fandral grabbed her arm.
"Would you like some company? Loki wouldn't want you all alone...especially if you are feeling out of place. Come sit with me and I'll make sure you feel comfortable. "
"Oh..umm sure..." Trinity kept wringing her hands together as she walked with Fandral to the table Thor was sitting at.
Thor smiled a huge smile and scooted over so Trinity could sit next to him.
"You be okay here with us. Don't got to worry. I promise."
He whispered as she sat down next to him. Trinity just mouthed "thank you" as she reached for a few grapes.
"Sif! This is Trinny...remember?  I told you all about her on our last training session!"
"Ah yes! About time someone came along to put Loki in his place..."
Sif chuckled some and gave her a wink. 
"We all thought he would never find someone who could keep him on his toes. Good for you"
"Hah thanks...he isn't that bad really..."
Trinity started shaking her knee up and down. Thor noticed and switched the subject.
Trinity quietly sat there eating as she listened to Thor talk with Sif and Fandral.
All of a sudden, Odin asked everyone to leave the table except her.
Trinity looked at Thor, worried.
"Father, is everything okay?" Thor asked a little hesitant to leave.
"Yes, son! I want to talk to my future daughter in law. Get to know her better...besides seeing her fiery side"
Odin smiled a little crooked smile at her.
Everyone else left the table as Odin took a sip of his drink.
"Tell me something...you showed me your fiery side yet sit here quiet as a mouse, nervous...what makes now different than before?"
Trinity swallowed her bite then looked over at Odin.
"Before it was about Loki and how you was treating him. This is all me. I fight for those I love...don't let anyone and I mean anyone treat them bad. Yet when it comes to me, I sit in silence and watch."
"I see. And what do you watch?"
"I watch everything.  Their mannerisms, how they talk to others, how they treat those around them...etc..."
"Good...good. You seem to be a good judge of character.  And not afraid to speak up for those you love. I think that's a good trait to have."
"Even when I told you off in your own throne room?"
Odin gave a heartily chuckle.
"That's how I knew you truly loved my son! You came in with a spitfire that I've only seen in two people. Him and Frigga."
She smiled and blushed some.
"He needs someone like you. To help him follow a good path. Keep him on his toes and not let him get to much inside his own head. He needs to know that he is also worthy. "
"So does this mean you truly accept us? The marriage and anything we decide?"
"Yes,  I just wanted the best for my son and I'm looking at it."
Trinity smiled warmly at Odin and took a sip of her drink.
"Thank you...that is all he ever wanted. Was you to accept him for him. "
"He needed to accept himself first and you helped him do that....but enough about him, tell me more about you. Any family coming to the wedding?"
"Haha sorry I also should mention I talk about those I love a lot too...but umm..no. I don't have any family."
"Oh? Who has been with you before Loki came along?"
"I had an ex who.. " Trinity trailed off then shook her head out of her thoughts...."He abused me so when he left everyone left with him. Except two people. My friends Monica and Caleb. They actually closer than any family. They helped me when things went sour."
"Well I hope to welcome them soon!"
"I am sure you will! Once I get back to Midgard, I will tell them all about the engagement"
Odin stood up and straighten out his robe.
"I can't wait to meet them! Son, make sure you keep this one! She reminds me a lot of your mother and how fiercely independent she is. "
Trinity turned around to see Loki standing behind her with a look of shock and admiration on his face.
"Yes, Father...and thank you again"
" I'll see you later" Odin turned and walked to the throne room as Loki took a seat next to Trinity.
"Um, what was that all about?"
"Oh, just him getting to know me is all"
Trinity smiled, leaned in and gave Loki's cheek a kiss.
"Did you eat?"
"Yeah, I did some. Honestly, my mind got the best of me. "
"Oh I'm so sorry love. I didn't even think about that!"
"Oh don't blame yourself please. I need to learn to do things on my own.  You don't always gotta help me."
"I know but you need to feel safe first."
"Hun..it's fine. I had Thor and I also met your friend Fandral. I wasn't completely alone."
"I know...I know but I hate when I'm not here to help you"
Loki fiddles some with the end of the table.
Trinity gently places her hand over his.
"What is really going on inside that head of yours? It wasn't I was alone...talk to me you goof" She stuck her tounge out at him making him laugh some.
"What...what if I...grr oh heavens"...Loki got up and paced a few times.
"What if I do something to ruin this...to cause you pain...to prove I am the monster that you tell your children about at night...to..to..."
Loki quickly turned away so she couldn't see the pain in his eyes.
Trinity got up and ran up to the front of him and grabbed his hands.
"First off, you are not and have never been a monster of any kind. Yes, you did past things but those don't define you.  I've done things I'm not proud of either but it's how you learn from them that makes you the person you are. And from what I've seen and known, you are one of the most loyal, loving, headstrong, and frustrating men I've came to known...and you won't ruin us, you are my whole world...you make me feel safe and happy.  You sir are my home! We work together like glue! Your crazy matches my crazy and I'm never going anywhere!"
She grabbed him in a kiss before he could interject anything.
"What happened? What brought all this on?"
Loki sighed and leaned into her.
"My own thoughts. Like you, my mind is my own worst enemy. I saw you talking with Odin and I got scared he was convincing you to not marry me. I know how he sees me..."
"That was exactly what we was talking about...but he said the exact opposite actually. He said how we was perfect for each other and he just wants what is best for you and you have obviously found it in us."
Loki looked down at her confused, and tapped his hand in the palm of the other.
"He really said that?! I always thought...."
"Yes hun he did. You know I would never lie to you plus, you remember what happened last time he said anything remotely bad about us...you really think we would've been having just a chat if that was the case?"
Loki couldn't help but smirk and laugh at that.
"True and I would have to congratulate you for that"
He gave her a mischievous look.
"Now that I think of it, that would definitely help my mood right now hehe"
"Oh it would eh? I don't know...I mean...you might have to convince me hehe"
Trinity gave him a little crooked smirk and a sly look.
"Well come with me, my pet. I've got something to show you!"
He took Trinity's hand and he teleported them to a garden full of colorful flowers.
"Oh my god...wait, a moment! This is the same place you first brought me when you showed me Asgard! I love it here!"
"This was the first place I showed you me and where I really came from and also where you finally said how you really felt about me. You said you loved me and ever since then, I've made it my mission to show you a life you deserve.  One you where you are loved and know you are very much needed. Trinity Allen, you are my whole world and I love you with every fiber of my being. Now I know I already asked and got an answer but I wanted to make it special."
Loki then got down on one knee and pulled her emerald ring from his pocket.
"Hey! How did you get that off me mister? Hehe"
Trinity was trying to hold back tears and excitement.
Loki looked up into her eyes and held the ring out.
"Trinity Allen, I have never met a girl like you and I hope I never do again. You do it for me, you're my whole world and I wanted to know if you do me the honor of making me happy for the rest of my life by marrying me??"
Trinity squealed and let her tears flow.
"Yes, Mr. Charming! I will marry you!!!"
She ran up to him, hugged his neck and gave him a long kiss!
Loki stood up, pulled her close as he gave back his own long kiss. He pulled back and slipped the ring on her finger.
He took her by the hand and led her to a shady area where there was some benches. She seen two other people sitting on one of the benches.
"Wait, you...you told Monica?! How...when

.what..."
Trinity stood there in disbelief as Monica came up running to hug her.
"Girl! I knew he was special but damn! Haha now let me see that ring!"
She grabbed Trinity's hand and gushed over it.
"You really okay with him being a god? And not from earth or that he is basically ledgend?!"
Monica laughed some and then shook her head.
"Girl, he could be from outer space...as long as he treats you good and kicked John's ass...he's 100% in my book! Plus I can see where he gets it from, his whole family is very welcoming...and boy those genes! Haha!"
Monica started walking back to the benches where now Trinity seen everyone was there. Thor, Frigga, and even Odin.
She looked up at Loki, with adoration in her eyes.
"Thank you! This is perfect! It was perfect before but this is also amazing...and you didn't have to tell Monica about you...I could've simply had it on Midgard. "
"My love. You deserve to have whatever you want and not hide any part of us. Plus, I know she is your best friend and you need her. And don't worry. She accepted everything. She is a real friend!"
"Oh! I love you Loki Laufeyson!"
Trinity jumped into his arms and hugged him tight.
"I love you too! Come on! Let's go and join the others! We got some plans to make!"
They made their way to the others as Frigga stood up and gave them both hugs.
Odin patted Loki on the back.
"Well done my son! She is perfect for you!"
"Thanks, dad! And thanks again, for all this."
"Brother! I knew it! Haha"
Thor heartily laughed as he gave Loki a hug, congratulations.
They all sat down to talk some about a few plans. Trinity couldn't help but let herself be giddy and just be happy. She never felt so at peace with any one or any big group before.  She finally felt she found home.
