Mermaids and Explorers (ON HOLD)

The First Mermaid Encounter

P.I.X.A.L’s P.O.V:

“Whatcha doing?” I heard a voice which scared me. 

I was singing peacefully on the rock when Nya and Skylor popped out of nowhere.

“Singing,” I said.

“Great, we need your help,” Skylor said. 

“With what?” I asked. 

“We need to find out which plant is poisonous, come with us,” Nya said. 

I followed them in the water and they explained how they were trying to make a new recipe and needed plants. But, they couldn't tell which ones were poisonous. 

They took me to the plants on the ocean ground and I inspected them. But, then I heard a loud noise and saw a shadow above us. I looked up and saw the same ship that I had seen earlier. 

“A ship!!!!!” Nya exclaimed. 

She hasn't seen a ship in years and she loves hunting for ships. When I mean she loves, she LOVES hunting for ships.

“Nya, don't,” I said, grabbing onto her arm,“they could be dangerous.” 

“Who doesn't love a little danger in their life?” Nya scoffed. 

“I'm coming, too!” Skylor cheered.

“No! Don't go, guys. You know Harumi will get mad at you guys, too. This is not reasonable,” I said. 

But, they didn't listen and just left. It's as if they take the information with one ear and let it out the other. 

I need to take care of them, but I don't want to get into danger. But, I still need to protect my friends. I swam after them, a little slower because I was cautious. 

While swimming up, I felt a tug on my arm and then I was yanked back. Before I knew it, I was being pulled to the ocean ground and then into a rock cave. 

Nya's P.O.V: 

Skylor and I were swimming up to the ship. I was so excited! I love seeing human inventions and humans! 

We swam after the ship and then next to it. I felt the side of the wooden ship. It felt really rough, but smooth. We followed the ship which was going really slow. 

“Wanna jump on top of the ship?” I asked. 

“We can't do that,” Skylor said,“that is too risky.” 

“Are you kidding me? Fine, you can be a scaredy cat, but I am going,” I said, leaving Skylor behind. 

Jay’s P.O.V:

I was mopping the deck because the rest were too lazy to do it. How annoying! 

So far I haven't seen any mermaids which is a good sign because if any of the myths that Zane said were true, then seeing a mermaid would be the doom of me. 

I looked up to see the sun glaring at me. 

“Go away!” I yelled. 

Then, I started mopping again. But, the sun wasn't hitting me with sunlight anymore. There was shade. I looked up to see a beautiful woman. She had a red and blue mermaid tail?! 

She got onto the deck and quickly noticed me. She had a bright smile on her face. Out of nowhere, the mermaid wrapped her tail around me and smiled. 

“How's it going, handsome?” The mermaid asked. 

I stared at her as our faces were only inches away. She had olive black eyes which were really pretty. But, she was a mermaid, a mermaid!

“Help!!!!” I screamed,“somebody help!!! Please help!!”
