Mermaids and Explorers (ON HOLD)

Poison

No P.O.V: 

The 5 boys and 4 mermaids had already started their journey. They had gone East and then West and North. The journey was long and tedious, but it was going to be rewarding soon enough. 

They had found a resting spot on a giant slanted rock and so all of them sat there. Nya was right next to Jay at the edge on the bottom half, chatting with him. Skylor was sitting next to Kai, a little up from Nya and Jay, and they were talking about what beauty sleep was. P.I.X.A.L was sitting in between Nya and Harumi as she was talking to Harumi about the journey. 

Zane, Cole, and Lloyd were at the very top of the rock, trying to see who was the tallest. Zane won, obviously. 

“Anyone want any food?” Skylor asked, munching on some sardines. 

“I'd take a nice cake,” Cole 

“What is a cake? We got fish,” Skylor with a smile. 

“YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT CAKE IS AND YOU DON'T HAVE CAKE?!” Cole screamed while drooping down, it must have been the end of the world for him. 

“No…” Skylor said, passing him a sardine which he took. 

Everyone got a bite of fish before it was time to continue their journey. 

“Which way, next?” Zane asked, hopping out the deck as his friends followed.

“Ummm, I think that way,” Nya said, pointing to one side of a tunnel which was all white and gassy while the other side was clean. 

“Are you sure?” Jay gulped. 

Nya nodded and so they followed her. There were big tube-like reefs that blasted white gas everywhere.

“What is that?” Lloyd asked, backing away on the deck because the white gas was getting a little too close. 

“I have read a lot about this. Since we are close to the Fire Temple up above, its lava goes into these reefs and when lava cools down, it lets out this white gas that erupts out,” P.I.X.A.L said.

“Is it harmful?” Zane asked. 

P.I.X.A.L paused for a second, cleared her throat and then spoke,“the tube reefs are poisonous to humans so the white gas coming out of it is also poisonous. But, it's not harmful for mermaids.” 

“Then how will we get across?” Lloyd asked, taking yet another step back because the white gas was spreading everywhere. 

“It's simple, you guys will need to be protected by us,” P.I.X.A.L stated. 

“I will bring the ship and since I am a nindroid, I won't be harmed,” Zane said, going back into the deck. 

P.I.X.A.L’s face spelled sadness when she heard that. She wouldn't be able to help him. 

“What's a nindroid?” Nya asked.

“He's a robot,” Jay said, happy to answer Nya's question. 

P.I.X.A.L didn't seem to care if Zane was a robot or human or better yet a merman, all she knew was that she didn't get a chance to protect him. 

“So how do we do this?” Cole asked. 

“Like this!” Nya said, pulling Jay into the water which made him scream,“don't worry, you just need to hold in your breath and hang onto my shoulders.”

And so Jay did, he placed his hands on Nya's shoulders. 

“Now you have to wrap your legs around my waist. Don't do it on my tail because I can't swim when someone's hanging onto it,” Nya said, helping Jay pick up his legs and wrap them around her waist. 

Now when she was swimming, Jay would be under her and would be protected. Lloyd immediately hopped onto Harumi and she didn't think much of it. Kai went to Skylor and it seemed as if they were really enjoying the position because Kai's eyes were somewhere where they shouldn't have been. 

The only person left was Cole, so he did the same to P.I.X.A.L, but kept his eyes closed because he didn't want to violate her. 

As the mermaids swam into the cave with the humans under them, Zane went into it with the ship. The cave was really big that it touched the sea ground and was over the water, 

When they finally reached the other side of the cave, they had gone past the Fire Temple. Now Jay, Cole, and Harumi were off the mermaids and got back on the ship. 

“Aww man, do I really have to hop off?” Kai moaned. 

“For now, yes. But, after this journey you have permission to hop on me whenever you want,” Skylor smirked. 

“WOAHHHH!!! I do not want to hear that!” Jay screamed. 

“I will make sure to remember that offer,” Kai said, getting one last look before hopping back on the ship. 

Lloyd was about to throw up in the ocean, but the death stare by Harumi stopped him. Luckily Cole had gone inside the ship, so he didn't hear a thing. 

Meanwhile P.I.X.A.L, Nya, and Harumi were all shocked, but knew this just opened so many opportunities to tease Skylor.

“How can you talk underwater?” Jay asked Kai. 

“You can't do that?” Kai said, looking at his nails as if he was really cool.

“No, but it's not special or anything,” Jay said, crossing his arms. 

“Suree, we all know you're jealous,” Kai said. 

“NO I'M NOT!”

“YES YOU ARE!!” Kai laughed. 

Jay started chasing Kai all over the deck which made the ship move side by side. The waves were bad enough, now these two were also causing a big problem. 

“Zane told me to stop whatever is making the ship move so much, so don't blame me,” Cole said, picking up Jay and Kai by the collar and throwing them in the water. 

Lloyd started laughing in the background and Cole gave him a high five. 

The two ninja were saved by Nya and Skylor and brought back to the deck. They stayed away from each other as they were wrapped in their towels. 

“Our next stop is in 10 miles!” Nya yelled to Cole so he could tell Zane. 

“Got it!!!” Cole yelled.

So if you read my announcement, then you would know that I said I didn't have a device to write on. I have a temporary device right now while I try to figure out what is wrong with my main one.
