Chapter-21

May. POV.

The party venues was the five star hotel owned by Alex only. He first helped me getting inside the car making sure that I don't bump my head on the roof of the car. Then he closed door of the my side of car and the went to driver side of the car  and started driving the car to the venue before making sure that our seatbelts were tied up.

When we reached the venue their was paparazzi on the left and the right side of the red carpet. There were bodyguards also making sure that no guest is being harassed. I felt like a celebrity and it is a fact that I have won gold for my country but it is bit overwhelming as in past my sister used to attend these kind of parties even though I was the won who actually won . But today is my day as it will showcase everyone that I aslo have talent.

I looped my arm around Alex's arm and together we entered the party hall which was all filled with guests. When we entered all the eyes were on us. But I didn't shy away as it will be bad for us.

So I confidently walked side by side with Alex and faced all the gazes which were filled with respect, envy , jealousy and indifference. But they didn't matter to me as only Alex's company is what matters to me.

Alex introduced me to his business associates as his Girlfriend and they all congratulated us and wished us a happy relationship. There were many business talks and mee business ventures. It was exhausting but everyone was here to make contacts and make new worthy partners.

After all the talking it was time for the ball room dance. Me and Alex automatically formed a couple. Together we danced. He swooned me and twirled me around . Our dance was not perfect but we did it with happiness. We performed all the dance steps which we ever knew. And we were actually discussing which dance step to perform next which dancing one step. Many couple were laughing at us but it didn't matter to us because we were in our bubble . And it is not necessary that a person should know how to  dance. Our dance was childish but it doesn't matter. I know that we will be the topic of discussions among the couples for a long time for our dance.
After dancing we decided to have food. The food stalls were on the corner of the hall . It was a self service so Me and Alex choose what is best for both of us and after having our full we decided to take a walk in the garden of the hotel.

The air was cool and the weather was nice. You can even take a nap of you want to. Sometimes all a human need is Nature and with your loved accompanying you it becomes even more fascinating.

We met Anaya and Andrew but Andrew was busy chasing after Anaya. I didn't know that they both were a thing. I wanted to got to Anaya but Alex said that we should give them time. I didn't know what to do but Anaya is more responsible for me will never let anyone wrong her.

When we were walking I heard someone call my name . I turned back and saw Jack and Joseph, my second and third elder brother. Jack is blunt and Joseph is mean.

Truthfully I don't want to see any of my family members because that all are unreasonable. Both me and Alex turned to look at them but Alex pulled me and stood in front of me . For the first time I felt so protected and that I aslo have someone to rely on. Alex looked at my brothers and in a cold voice he said

"I don't want you guys near my girlfriend. And as far as I remember I never invited you guys. So how come you guys are here?"

"Who are you? We are talking to our sister. And we got the invitation form one our partners because we wanted to see our sister. " My brother Jack spot back.

"Oh! So you guys remember that you have a sister. I thought that for you guys she is only a donor. But I don't think that you guys know the difference between sister and donor. "

Alex taunted them.

But then Joseph said

"She is our sister. We know what is best for her. "

"So now you consider her as a sister. I though May was only for you guys to vent you anger. And what best did you guys do for? You guys stole her achievements and mentally traumatize her and when she finally had enough and want To do something and you guys are now pulling her back. What kind of best is it for May? Don't disgust me. This is the last kindness I am showing to you guys that I am letting you guys scott free. Next time if you guys will appear in front of me. I will sure you guys. "

With that Alex held my hands and took me away from the people who has hurt me in past but now I am following the guy who loves and fights for me with a big smile on my face.

On the background I could hear them calling my name but all my attention was on the broad and muscular back which was right now my Pillar of support.
