Brittany looked into the mirror and smoothed down her black dress with a hot pink floral print. She looked down to her black flats and took a deep breath. This was it. She was getting ready to graduate from high school.
She ran a brush through her honey blonde hair one last time. "This is it, Pierce." She whispered to herself. "Don't screw it up."
"How do I look?"
The blonde whipped around to see Santana emerge, looking flawless. She wore a tight little black dress and black velvet pumps. Her hair was down and shiny.
"Gorgeous." Brittany said in a breathless manner.
Santana grinned and went forward, placing a quick kiss on her girlfriend's lips.
They both slipped their their gowns on and then put their caps on for each other.
Brittany giggled. "I can't believe this is happening."
"Me neither babe, but it is."
The cheerio squealed. "Let's go."
-
"And now, the graduates!" Cried Burt Hummel.
The rest of the parents cheered as the new directions appeared out on Burt's backyard patio without their cap and gown.
"We're so proud of you guys! All of you!"
There were thank yous and then the graduates and parents separated. The glee club wanted to spend as much time with each other as they could before they parted ways.
"So I guess we are gonna be with you two in New York." Santana gestured to Rachel and Kurt. They had both gotten in to NYADA as well.
"Splendid!" Rachel cried. "I am very pleased at this announcement. Perhaps we could all live togeth-"
"No fucking way." Santana said.
"Oh... Well we could get together weekly for dinner and go to concerts and stuff together?"
Santana nodded with a smile. "Better. I'd actually like that."
Brittany kissed Santana on the cheek. "Thanks for not being snarky."
"I was a little snarky!"
"Thanks for not being a lot snarky."
The Latina giggled cutely. "Only for you, Britt."
"Barf." Quinn said in a joking manner. "Get a room!"
The rest of the kids laughed.
Santana eyeballed Quinn harshly. "Quit being such a cockblock, Fabray." She growled.
"Oh you know I love you." The shorter blonde teased.
"It's not like you and Puckerman haven't been humping all night."
Quinn's pale skin flushed a deep red. "W-we have not!"
"Oh please! You've had your tongue down his throat and he keeps a permanent hand in your ass."
"You know it's true." Puck teased, kissing Quinn quickly on the cheek.
She grinned. "I guess..." Then she turned to Rachel and Finn. "They've been doing the same thing!" She looked to Blaine and Kurt. "And them! Every couple has!"
Brittany grinned. "We're a lovey bunch."
Santana smirked. "More like a horny bunch."
"Okay, ew!" Tina chuckled. "I'm refusing to let this turn into some weird orgy thing."
There was a collective "ugh."
"You know I think that Brittana should sing a duet." Mercedes said.
"Yeah!" The others chimed in.
"Only if Q sings with us!" Santana said. "The unholy trinity hasn't done a song together yet."
Everyone cheered louder and the three girls made their way to the front of the patio where a karaoke machine sat. They looked through and finally selected a song.
Brittany: Baby, ev'rything is all right, uptight, out of sight.
Baby, ev'rything is all right, uptight, out of sight.Quinn: I'm a poorman's son, from across the railroad tracks,
The only shirt I own is hangin' on my back,
But I'm the envy of ev'ry single guy
Since I'm the apple of my girl's eye.
When we go out stepping on the town for a while
My money's low and my suit's out of style,
But it's all right if my clothes aren't new
Out of sight because my heart is true. All: She says baby ev'rything is alright, uptight, out of sight.
Baby, ev'rything is alright, uptight, clean out of sight.Santana: She's a pearl of a girl, I guess that's what you might say,
I guess her folks brought her up that way,
The right side of the tracks, she was born and raised
In a great big old house, full of butlers and maids.
She says no one is better than I, I know I'm just an average guy,Brittany: No football hero or smooth Don Juan,
Got empty pockets, you see I'm a poorman's son.
She says give her the things that money can buy
But I'll never, never make my baby cry,And it's all right, what I can't do,
Out of sight because my heart is true,All: She says baby ev'rything is alright, uptight, clean out of sight.
Baby, ev'rything is alright, uptight, clean out of sight.
Baby, ev'rything is alright, uptight, ah ah ah ah,
Baby, ev'rything is alright, uptight, clean out of sight.
Baby, ev'rything is alright, uptight, clean out of sight. They bowed and everyone stood, cheering and hooting.
Two and a half months later
"This is it, Britt!" Santana squealed excitedly as they approached their train. "We're going to New York."
"I believe we are too, Santana don't forget us." Rachel said, stepping up next to them along with Kurt.
The Latina rolled her eyes but smiled. "I know, I know."
They had their apartment bought (Which Brittany's family paid for most) and had gone the weekend before to set everything up. They had nothing left but to start school and their lives together.
So they hugged their friends and cried then boarded the train and waved goodbye to the Glee Club.
Even though they felt sad, that knew this wasn't the end. Their life was only just beginning.
AN: Early update again. And there it is folks, the end. Well, not really because there's an epilogue. That is coming very soon as well. I'm just not ready to say goodbye yet!:'(
