Five Years Later

Brittany stared at herself in the mirror. The twenty-three year old couldn't believe what was about to happen.

She took a deep breath and smoothed down the white lace of her slim and elegant wedding dress and patted her veil which sat around her head with her blonde hair which was shiny and down.

She looked down to her simple white pumps. It was the only thing they had agreed to match.

Quinn came up behind her. "You look stunning, Britt. I'm so happy to be your maid of honor."

"Y'know I would've preferred that title, but just a bridesmaid is dope too." Mercedes joked.

Brittany couldn't even smile, she was shaking. "I'm so nervous! Quinn were you this nervous when you and Puck got married?!"

The shorter blonde took her best friend's hands. "Britt, calm down. Of course I was nervous. Everyone is nervous."

"Not this nervous! God I think I might pass out!"

"No, you won't. You'll be fine. You love her and she loves you. Now let's go because you know you're first."

The blonde took a deep breath and nodded. "I'm ready."

-

In the next room over Santana gazed at herself in the mirror as well. She had on a flowing, billowy white gown that was very goddess-like. The ideal would've been something tighter but that would never fit over her belly.

Her veil was completely lacy and attached with a silver headband. Her hair was up in a perfect looking messy bun that had a few strands hanging down which made her look even more like a goddess.

And of course the white pumps which matched Brittany's.

Suddenly she felt a little faint and felt something weird in her stomach. She breathed hard and Rachel and Tina rushed forward to help her sit down.

"Is everything okay?!" Rachel asked quickly.

"Yeah." Santana chuckled as she took deep breaths. "Boy she's... She's really moving around in there. God I'm glad this is happening because I don't wanna get this dress resized one more time.

Tina laughed. "Well you are eight and a half months pregnant. You deserve to have it resized considering you picked it out at only 4 months."

The Latina chuckled and stood back up. "Alright. Let's do this thing."

-

Brittany took her father's arm and slowly walked down the aisle, looking as everyone smiled on at her. She saw the glee kids and her mom and little sister sitting front row like they were supposed to.

Quinn and Mercedes took their spots at the top on the mini stage off to the side.

Soon she was there too. She took her spot and then inhaled several deep breaths. Her dad patted her arm, gave her a grin and then ran back to the entrance.

Brittany's parents already considered Santana family and since she had no one to walk her down the aisle, Mr. Pierce had insisted on doing it.

Brittany inhaled deeply as she saw Santana walk down the aisle. She looked like an angel or a goddess.

The wisps of hair around her neck made her look so beautiful and sexy. And the billowing dress managed to be elegant and sexy at the same time.

Finally her bride was standing in front of her. She just couldn't believe that they had come this far.

Years ago Santana wouldn't even admit to being a lesbian, not to mention liking Brittany. Years ago Brittany was shy, and insecure with no confidence. Years ago Santana was depressed and suicidal. And just look at how far they had come.

Soon it came to say their vows and Brittany was indescribably excited and nervous because they had decided to write their own.

The blonde was meant to go first. The words were memorized.

"Santana..." She took a deep breath. "When I met you I was instantly in love. I know that sounds cliché but it's true. It was love at first sight. I remember thinking how gorgeous and cool you were... And how scared of you I was."

The audience laughed.

"You had this 'I don't care and hate everything' attitude. But I knew there was more. I just knew. And I never gave up on you. I kept pushing until you let me in and I could get to know you, because I so desperately wanted to. When I finally did get to know you... I fell in love even more. With all of you. With all your quirks and insecurities. I fell in love with every single part of you. And you had deep troubles and struggles that you didn't deserve. And I tried so hard to be there for you. And so I vow to always be there for you, to never give up on you, and most of all to always..." She looked into her love's eyes deeply. "To always love every part of you."

The crowd clapped and Brittany slipped the ring onto Santana's finger.

Now the Latina took a shaky breath.

Brittany grinned, eager to hear the vow.

"Britt-Britt... When I was younger I was never loved by anyone. My parents wrecked me and I grew up knowing only abandonment, fear, hate and abuse." She paused to wipe a tear that was falling.

The blonde squeezed her hand encouragingly.

"I was so broken. And I didn't want to be broken again. So I built up walls that no one could break down. Until you. You came into my life with your eternal optimism and love. And I was awful to you in the beginning, yet you stick around. You comforted me, you broke down my walls, and you-" her voice cracked. "And you healed me. You taught me that I people love me and more importantly, how to love myself." She took in a shaky breath. "For that I am eternally grateful. I love you so much and I will never leave you, because you never left me. Not once. So, I vow to always be grateful to you, to never ever leave you, and to always love you."

The crowd clapped again. Santana slipped the ring onto the blonde's finger.

The minister cleared his throat and began. "Do you, Brittany Susan Pierce take Santana Diablá Lopez as your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, until death do you part?"

Brittany sniffled and said a loud and firm, "I do."

"And do you, Santana Diablá Lopez take Brittany Susan Pierce as your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, until death do you part?"

"I do." Santana choked out over a sob.

"I now pronounce you,"

They stared into each other's eyes meaningfully, conveying their vows.

"Wife and wife,"

Brittany nodded to Santana who nodded back, a final "yes."

"You may now kiss the bride."

Brittany leapt toward Santana and dipped her like that day in the choir room and kissed her.

The End.

AN: so guys... This is technically the end, but fear not! We could continue if you desired. I'm proposing something. It would be kind of like a mini sequel but no continuation between the different stories. Would you like me to add a few bonus chapters so you can read about their child and anniversaries and such? Comment below if you want it!
