Chapter 2- Visitors (Or, What The Hair!?)

(Y/N POV)

Me and Varian have become quite close to each other, honestly we treat each other like we are sibling. And he has been telling me about this project to help our village have hot water, and I have been encouraging him for that, although i was scared to get near those thing. At the moment we were covered in bubbles because of a kinda failed experiment, we were trying to make a little bubble that would trap thing in it but uh...we made a literal bathbomb

"Okay, this is not what I expected honestly"
I say giggling a little

"Okay I said we were going to make a bathbomb but i didnt mean it literally" 
Varian joked making me laugh even more

I started making my way to the window while trying to get rid of the bubbles all over me, then i noticed two people making their way to the lab

"Hey V, looks like we have visitors"
I said turning to look at Varian

"Ugh, more people who think i use magic, quick go get under the table"
Varian said and quickly put on a costume and a mask with green light that looked like eyes, before i got under the table I turned on a purple fog machine and then hid

Then we heard the door open

"Just watch your step, Raps. Come on this way" 
The voice of a women said

"It's just fog. I'm sure it's okay"
The other voice who I assumed was Rapunzel said

Im wondering what the princess is doing here

Suddenly, I hear the glue trap activate, and I saw both of the girls get trapped HA! This is what i call free comedy

"Fine. A booby trap!"
Princess Rapunzel said a little worried 

"Raps, everything's gonna be-"
The other lady said but got cut off

"What do you want?" 
Varian said stepping closer to the two of them, his voice sounded distorded....very distorded

" Um hi. So sorry to bother you, sir. I wanted to ask you about my hair. Because you're such a magic exp-"
Princess Rapunzel tried to speak, but got cut off by Varian

"Yeah, you messed up"
I thought, yeah should have never mentioned magic

" Magic?! I do not work with magic!"
Varian said and then took the mask off, thats when i got from under the table and turned off the fog machine

" I mean, technically, it's not magic. It's alchemy, but yeah don't don't sweat it"
I said for Varian, i knew him too well

"Yeah, what she said"
Varian said

"Got it. So, what is this?"
Princess Rapunzel said after nervously laughing

"Oh, it's it's a chemical compound of my own design. Thank you. See, we have a bit of a critter problem out here, and, through the miracle of modern alchemy, I have found a humane way to solve the problem"
Varian explained

"This is riveting, but could you get us out of here?"
The girl with black short hair said

"Ha! Where is that neutralizing parti- Oh! C-Come get outta here! I am so sorry, Your Highness."
Varian said after freeing the two ladies, and he knelt as a reverence to the princess, to which I did the same

"Your Highness? Wait, you two know who I am?"
Princess Rapunzel said shocked

"Oh how could we not?"
Varian said 

"I mean, look at your hair!"
I said a little too excited and reached for her hair

"Your Highness"
I quickly added making sure not to disrespect
