Chapter 9- Frozen In The Past (Or, Be Very Scared) PT:2

(Y/N) POV

I felt myself get free from my frozen state
I looked at my hands and they were completely normal
"What happened?"
I ask myself genuenly confused

I look around and see Lance on a stage..
...A talent show? Really?

"Kid! you okay!"
Eugene exclaimed as he walked up to me with Lance

"I mean, yeah..
Wait- Where's Varian?!"
I asked as I looked around
Eugene just placed a hand on my shoulder

"Rapunzel and him should arrive soon"
Eugene said

"And what with the whole talent show thing?"
I asked as I pointed to the stage

"It was an idea to distract people and keep their spirits up"
Eugene said and smirked when he turned to look at Lance

"And this guy did a great job with that"
Eugene said as he placed his arm around Lance's neck
And they just laughed

"Hmmm"
I hummed still looking around for Varian
I didnt really listen to what he was saying

"(Y/N)!!"
I heard Varian voice from behind me

"Varian?"
I ask myself as I turn around and see Varian running up to me
I could feel tears forming in my eyes as I ran to him as well

And then jumped to him, and he spun me around 
And then we hugged as I cried into his chest

Varian was explaining everything to Quirin as we walked around Corona

"Soooo Lance, heard you were a great singer, ey"
I said as I nudged him

"Lance kept our spirits high"
Eugene said proud of him

"LANCE, LOOK! A CLOWN SPIDER!"
Eugene yelled all of the sudden and pointed in a random direction
To which resulted in Lance running away while screaming

Me and Eugene just had a laughing fit while that happened

"And I almost completely froze but-"
Varian said but the shoe seller came running to him

"You ROCK Varian! Rapunzel says you are a real hero!"
The shoe seller said and walked away

"Just doing my part"
Varian said and waved 

Quirin placed his hand Varian shoulder
"I have to go, but finish telling me at dinner okay?"

"Dinner? wait"

"Indeed. (Y/N) offered me a better schedule so I could spend 
More time with you
Which means we can eat dinner together"
Quirin said and patted our heands and then left

And in a literal second Varian hugged me tightly
"Thankyouthankyouthankyou!"
"Your welcome, I I c-cant breath"
I say struggling to speak

"Sorry! Sorry!
I just haven't spent much time with dad after..y'know"
Varian said remembering his evil days

I placed my hand on his cheek

I said and gestured to the people of Corona waving at him as they walked by
I looked at him in the eyes..
I leaned closer to him as our eyes were closing slowly
And we kissed closing the gap between us

A few moments passed and we stopped kissing
And we made our way to Old Corona Village

"Its all new to me
That's all..."
Varian said quietly

"Don't worry
You will get used to it"
I said and held his hand

After a while
We reached our house

"Hey (Y/N)...
...I want to ask you something..."
Varian said and looked away a little

"And whats that?"

"How could you still love me and stay with me
Why were so you forgiving after what I ha-"
I placed my finger on Varian's lips 

"Shhhhh"
I used my other free hand and opened the door to the house

I can't have a regular conversation about my feelings....
