Chapter 5- Trapped

(Y/N POV)

I woke up slowly, I flutter my eyes open
But when I try to move my hands I see that they are chained up

"We have to leave. Now"
Varian said

"Why"
I asked angrily

"The King is after a scroll I have
He doesnt want Rapunzel to know about it
I am going to gain her trust me by making her find it and find out
About the king lying to her"
Varian explained nonchalantly

"Varian, you dont have to do this"
I try to convince him again but it was in vain

"No! We have to go, you can come willingly
Or I can force you to"
Varian hissed

I had no other option but to go willingly
He is a good person, but he is in grief
And when grief turns into anger people can be very VERY dangerous
And I was forced to watch my best friend slowly loose his ways

Varian took me to a cave away from Old Corona
Even if i screamed no one would hear me

I slowly started falling asleep

Varian woke me up
"Everyone is gone, lets go back"

Varian then dragged me back to the lab
"I have to go meet Rapunzel so I can get the sundrop flower
Then I can use it to free my dad, and live our happy lives again...
After Corona pays of course"
Varian said the last part angrily

At this point, I couldnt do anything....he is far gone

"Oh and just in case you think of escaping"
Varian said and took out the same chemical that made the ember

"ey ey ey, Varian what are you doing?!"
I said and started trying to scoot away but it was in vain because of the chains
Varian poured the chemical on a black rock that was close to me
The ember quickly trapped my hand

"Just dont move and you will be fine
Trust me I dont want to loose you too"
Varian said 

Soon the ember stopped growing after it trapped my hand and leg
ANd then varian took the em

"I did this to protect you"

"I will be going now"
Varian said waiting for a responce he never got
He just just left

"This isnt him.....I can still safe him, i know I can, I just dont know how"
I said to myself, trying to convince myself with fake hopes

"I got it! I can free dad now!"
Varian said as he got back with the sundrop flower

I didnt answer him, I already lost hope

Varian placed a giant drill next to Quirin's ember
And the loud annoying sound of the drill filled the room but nothing happened

"W-what? Why isnt it working??"
Varian asked in frustration
And he tried to drill it again but in vain
And the drill broke

"NO! ITS USELESS!
Its like it no longer posseses its Sundrop powers!"
Varian said and pushed the drill away in anger

Varian got close to his fathers ember and placed his head against it
"I REFUSE to give up on you, dad"
Varian said

"The Sundrop isnt the flower...
Its Rapunzel"
Varian said in realization

"Okay, Varian do NOT do that, I know what your thinking
You cant endanger a whole kingdom because of your anger"
I said as I struggled with the ember ....
