The rest of the night was spent with them worshipping my body for hours to the point I felt like I was made of jello. The next day which was the day we were leaving the island we decided to go into town proper to explore. I hummed to myself as we made our way down the streets of Agious Nikolaos taking in the sights, a small smile pulling at the corners of my mouth when memories about my father and all the stories from Greek Mythology he used to tell me. Silvano gave my hand a gentle tug and I glanced toward him to see they were heading toward a church I had seen in a brochure- Agia Triada. The interior was just as breath taking as the exterior.
"Wow," I breathed as my eyes took in the chapel that was empty except for the four of us. Even though my attention as elsewhere I could feel them watching me and my hand slipped out of Silvano's as I made my way down the center aisle.
One of the foster families I had been placed with were devout Catholics so I had spent quite a bit of those three years in one of the cathedrals in the city, this place put it to shame with all of its simplicity. Every part of me wished these last few days could go on forever because they've all been amazing but my rational mind knows we have to return to reality.
"Baby," I heard Vartan say and I turned to see him a few feet behind me holding one of his large hands out to me. I gave him a small smile as I walked to him placing my hand into his.
"Where did Silvano and Arik go?" I asked when I noticed that we were now alone.
"They went to get the villa packed up. We'll be meeting them in a little so we can all head to the airport."
"Okay."
He gave my hand a gentle squeeze as we left the church. "Have you enjoyed yourself Baby?"
"I really have. Thank you all for making these last few days so great."
He lifted our hands and kissed my knuckles. "You should know by now that we'll do everything that we can to make you happy."By the time we were back on the plane heading back to New York I could feel my chest tightening with anxiety. My knees were curled up beneath me in the seat and I was trying to focus on my book that was resting on the arm of my seat while the brothers played cards at a table behind me.
"Would you like something to drink Miss?" the young stewardess asked stopping beside of my seat.
"Just some tea please," I replied and she gave me a small smile, nodding, then went to asked the guys if they wanted anything. I let out a little breath and rubbed the back of my neck turning my gaze to the clouds outside of my window.
