Hansol entered Seungcheol's office with a stack of documents in hand, a look of determination etched into his features. "Hyung, I've gathered all the information we have on Subin," he announced, setting the documents down on the desk in front of his boss.
Seungcheol glanced up from his work, his interest piqued. "Good work, Hansol. Let's see what we've got."
As Seungcheol began to sift through the documents, his eyes widened in recognition as he came across a familiar face. There, staring back at him from a photograph, was the girl he had saved from the creeps that fateful night. It was Subin.
His heart skipped a beat as he realized the implications of this discovery. The girl he had rescued was not just any random stranger, but the daughter of his rival, Junghoon.
"Hansol," Seungcheol said urgently, his voice tinged with disbelief. "Come look at this."
Hansol stepped closer, peering over Seungcheol's shoulder to get a better look at the photograph. His eyes widened in surprise as he recognized Subin's face. "That's her," he breathed, his voice filled with astonishment. "The girl you saved that night."
Seungcheol nodded, his mind racing with a flurry of thoughts and emotions. "I can't believe it," he murmured, his gaze fixed on Subin's image. "She's Junghoon's daughter."
Seungcheol couldn't help but smirk as he contemplated the situation. The realization that Subin, the girl he had saved, was also the daughter of his rival, Junghoon, added a new layer of complexity to his plans. But rather than feeling daunted by the challenge, he felt a surge of excitement coursing through his veins.
His mind raced with possibilities as he considered the implications of his discovery. If he played his cards right, he could use his connection to Subin to his advantage, manipulating her feelings for him to gain leverage over her father and further solidify his position within the criminal underworld.
As he glanced once more at the photograph of Subin, a calculating gleam flickered in his eyes. The idea of tricking her into falling for him was working even better than he had anticipated. And with each passing moment, he felt more confident in his ability to manipulate the situation to his advantage.
With a self-assured smirk, Seungcheol made a mental note to continue his subtle charade, weaving a web of deception around Subin that would ultimately serve his own ambitions. Little did she know, she was merely a pawn in his game of power and deceit, and he intended to play her role to perfection.
"Jun hyung was talking about your fight with Rubina last night," Hansol's revelation about Jun discussing Seungcheol's argument with Rubina hit Seungcheol like a punch to the gut. He hadn't realized that their private dispute had become the subject of gossip among their gang members.
"I think you two should break up," Hansol suggested. "Your relationship is not at all healthy."
The thought of breaking off his engagement with Rubina, the woman who had been by his side since childhood and whom he had grown to care deeply for, filled him with a sense of guilt and apprehension.
"Hansol, I don't know if I can do that," Seungcheol admitted, his voice heavy with reluctance. "Rubina has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Breaking off our engagement... it just doesn't feel right."
Hansol regarded Seungcheol with a sympathetic expression, understanding the weight of the decision that lay before him. "I know it's not an easy choice, Seungcheol," he said gently. "But think about what's at stake here. Marrying Subin would not only strengthen our position within the gang, but it would also give us leverage over Junghoon. It's a strategic move that could help us achieve our goals."
