29: Meeting Mother Hyeri

Seungcheol's voice echoed through the room as he addressed the members of the Midnight gang, his tone firm yet filled with a sense of purpose. "I've called this meeting today to discuss our future," he began, his gaze sweeping over each member gathered before him, including Jeonghan. "After recent events, it's become clear that we need to regroup and reassess our strategy."

The other members of the gang nodded in agreement, their expressions serious as they listened to Seungcheol's words. Jihoon, Jun, Hansol and the rest all leaned in, eager to hear what their leader had planned.

Seungcheol continued, his voice steady as he outlined his proposal. "Jeonghan and I will be moving to our Midnight mansion in Seoul," he announced, his words causing a ripple of surprise among the group. "We'll establish a new base of operations there, one that will allow us to better coordinate our efforts and keep a closer eye on our enemies."

Jeonghan's heart skipped a beat at Seungcheol's announcement, a mixture of excitement and apprehension coursing through him. Moving to Seoul meant leaving behind the familiarity of Daegu, but it also offered the chance for a fresh start, away from the ghosts of their past.

The other members of the gang exchanged glances, some nodding in agreement while others remained silent, lost in their own thoughts. Jun spoke up first, his voice filled with determination. "I think it's a good idea," he said, his eyes meeting Seungcheol's with unwavering resolve. "We'll hold down the fort here in Daegu while you and Jeonghan focus on building up our presence in Seoul. Besides Joshua is in Busan as well."

The rest of the gang voiced their agreement, each member offering their support for Seungcheol and Jeonghan's decision. Despite the uncertainty of the road ahead, they knew that together, they were stronger than any obstacle they might face.

With a sense of unity and purpose filling the room, Seungcheol nodded in gratitude to his comrades. "Thank you, everyone," he said, his voice tinged with emotion. "Let's show Rubina and her gang that we're not going down without a fight."

As the meeting drew to a close, the members of the Midnight gang exchanged determined glances, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. And with Seungcheol and Jeonghan leading the charge, they knew that victory was within their grasp.

As the other members of the Midnight gang filed out of the room, Seungcheol motioned for Jeonghan to stay behind, a serious expression on his face. Once they were alone, Seungcheol took a deep breath, his gaze meeting Jeonghan's with a mixture of determination and vulnerability.

"Jeonghan, there's something I need to talk to you about," Seungcheol began, his voice soft yet tinged with urgency. "Before we leave for Seoul, I want you to meet my mother."

Jeonghan's eyes widened in surprise at Seungcheol's unexpected request. "Your mother?" he repeated, his mind racing with questions. "Why now?"

Seungcheol hesitated for a moment, a flicker of emotion crossing his features before he spoke again. "Because she deserves to meet the person who means so much to me," he explained, his voice tinged with sincerity. "And I want you to know her, too, before we embark on this new chapter of our lives together."

Jeonghan felt a warmth spread through his chest at Seungcheol's words, touched by the depth of his feelings. "I'd like that," he replied, a soft smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "I want to meet her, too."

Seungcheol returned Jeonghan's smile with one of his own, a sense of relief washing over him. "Thank you," he said, his voice filled with gratitude. "I'll arrange for us to visit her tomorrow."
