5 THE OLD HOMESTEAD FOUND

Everyone said their goodbyes and well wishes to the couple known as the goody two shoes whilst growing up, leaving for their prospective homes, while Shefron, Maryiane, Julia, and Erron turned to go into the house. There Erron planned on telling Shefron what he and Julia will be doing in the days ahead, to find them a home that would be suitable for them.

Erron made the call to Matineez Realty asking about the old Holmes place between the property of the Callsburg and the Dakster's place. Eyvoonne Martineez answered "Stating the price of the property including the house and the pool on the property of one hundred sixty acres would cost with taxes and escrow as well as home owners insurance would be around 16.5 million."

Erron asked if they could look the property over and then settle the price as it would depend on Julia seeing it as well. The date was set to view the property the following week on Monday that is the day before Julia was due back at work from her maternity leave.

They were watching little Ethan do all of his first smiles, coos, reaching for things and grabbing hold and rolling over at the age of 6 weeks. He was just a happy baby and loved it when Erron was around to talk to him as if he really would understand what Erron was talking about. This all made Julia wonder by the way Ethan made different faces when Erron was there.

On Monday Erron and Julia went to the Realtor's Office and got the Key to the old Holmes place and drove back took around. Julia loved the outside and it was just as pretty as she had remembered it as for the inside there was repairs needed to the floor in the kitchen, the hallway and the master bedroom area as well as the walls to the family room needed replaced the fireplace needed a face lift as well as it looked like it was the cause of the fire at the house, the rest of the rooms looked okay and for that price it would have to drop by quite a bit for renovations to start and make sure the substructure is still intact.

Julia told Eyvoonne, "the price is not feasible due to the many necessary repairs to the main floor and shoring up the substructure of the house due to extensive fire damage done by the fireplace. It will take at least 19.5 million to totally redo the house to be livable if that and more to keep it from falling in and giving it a new roof that will with stand the test of time, how about you take of what the cost of repairs will be for us and then it is a deal."

Eyvoonne replied "it has been on the market so long that no one want to purchase to due to the cost of the damages caused by the fire from the fireplace and there is no owner left living as you know that the old man died having no children to give it to"

Erron hearing that wondered if it was his uncle Paul's property and if he could retrieve it from the Realtor, "Could it have belonged to a Paul Holmes?"

Eyvoone replied "yes, it did. Why do you ask?"

"He was my uncle that is why?"Erron had said. Eyvoone was shocked at learning this and wondered why they did not step forward to claim the property before now.

Eyvoonne told them how she had got the property through a court auction of land and there were no heirs to inherit the property hence there was a will that was not read and it could be located at the court clerks office and there they could find who owns the property.

Erron and Julia drove over to the court house and went to the clerks office asking for the will of Paul Holmes. The clerk asked "What relation are you to the deceased Paul Holmes?"

Erron stated "I'm his nephew and was wanting to buy his property."

The clerk immediately went to retrieve the will information for them. Upon reading it Erron found out that it was indeed property that had been deeded over to him by his uncle as he Paul knew of that Erron and Julia would be together someday. So Erron Filed on the property to reclaim it. After all of the court cost and legalities the old Holmes homestead was theirs. All that was needed was to talkd to the contractors about restoring the home.

While Julia and Erron were wandering through the house they found in the office a safe that was not burned. Erron remembering his mom telling him that the was to open the safe was to remember her birthday and doing so Erron opend the safe finding the documents that contained the original house plans that needed to be filed along with the deed of the property. He also found a floor plan for the barn to completely turn it into a wedding and party venue for extra income. Erron located the contractor who had designed the house and barn asking if he would start work to rebuild the house from ground up and use the same floor plans that was found in the attic safe vault that did not burn yet was busted open due to falling thru the floor to the master bedroom.

Erron contacted the Architect who designed the home and wanted to see if they would know who to contact for building and restoration of the old Holmes Homestead, along with the estimates of completion of the barn plan as well as adding an extra building to the property for family in later years. Similar to a mother in law house only down the road a ways for their privacy as well.
