Stacy's POV
I felt like Garrick was a little off when he came home last night. After calling him for hours, he answered when I was just about to call the security and said he was on his way home.
We had such a beautiful time the night before so I didn't press him on the matter, I just went to bed and waited for him to sleep and searched his phone.
Found nothing.
"Babe, we have rehearsal and 4pm today, I hope you remember."
"Shit, I didn't. Let me—"
"If it's Kelly you are going to call, I already did that, she told me that you had nothing."
He was already acting weird and I wasn't about to take any risks with him. I was not pleased with the look on his face but it was ok, I don't need any excuses from him.
"Cool. Where are you going?" He asked.
"Oh, I have to go to the salon to meet with Tricia about wedding stuff but I will be back before 1pm. Are you leaving the house?"
"Yeah, I have to go see Leo and I might swing to see Love and Garica."
"Ok, remember Saturday is her party, Mel said she had everything finalised."
"Good," he replied but his face was fixed into his phone and he seemed really distant. Really didn't want to be worried but I had to ask him..
"Are you sure you are ok babe?"
He lifted his head and smiled at me. "Yeah man, just that I have to go see the kids and I need to have a lot of energy for them and I am already tired."
I wanted to tell him that he asked for them but I rather the peace that we were having right now.
"Tell you what, after the rehearsal we come home and I will give you a nice massage with your favourite blend of oils."
He got up from the bed to meet me by the dresser, pulling my face to his for a kiss and of course squeezing my ass. "That sounds good. It might lead to other things too so I will be looking forward to it."
"OK baby. I have to go now, I promise Tricia that I won't be late."
"Handle your business, I'm going to see what my mother wants with me."
Oh, it was Mel that had him distracted.
"Alright, see you in a couple hours."
He left the room and I went back to getting ready. I stopped to pick my buzzing phone up..
Gina's Chat
Gina: Hey Stacy, I'm on my way to the shop. I need to talk to you about something.
Me: Hey. Sure, I will be there soon.
Gina: Alright.
Ends Chat.
Today all of us are going to link up for Tricia and she will have to be there. I bet she was ready to tell me that she was pregnant.
"Let me go ahead and practise my surprised face," I mumbled through a laugh.
Chalkline's POV
"Are you losing your blasted mind?!" she yelled at me.
Stephanie had told her that I hit her and she was now furious with me, messaging my phone and sending threats all morning like a real terrorist.
"I didn't mean, it ju—"
"Garrick, I didn't raise you but I know Joan never taught you to hit women. She would be so disappointed if I told her this."
