“I can't believe you allowed me to sleep here.”
I smiled and got up to meet her. I was already dressed and ready to go.
“You look so peaceful and I didn't want to wake you.”
“Well, thank you. Now, I'm still a little tired but I have to go, my pilot is waiting. I should be in New York by midday for a meeting then back to Jersey for a family event.”
“Sounds like we are both having a busy weekend. My best friend is getting married.”
“Oh, that's lovely. I guess there will be many parties?”
“Yeah, we have dinner tonight and tomorrow is the wedding then a brunch to send them off on their honeymoon.”
“That sounds so great. Well I hope you enjoy yourself and hope to see you next Thursday.”
“I will. Let me walk you out.”
“Oh, I'm taking the rest of my jerk chicken with me.”
I laughed. “It's all yours, I made sure to put it up good for you.”
“Thank you. Enjoy your weekend.”
She gave me a hug and I waited for her security to escort down the hallway. She didn't go anywhere without Peter.
I closed the door and went back to my phone. Shanice was about to piss me off so it was in my best interest to avoid her until I had the time to really deal with her madness.
