Chapter 7

Once I got over the extreme embarrassment of what just happened, I crept back out from behind the door and padded over to my clothes drawers, pulling out a black and white skull top, black ripped skinnies, and I pulled a beanie out too. Remembering that Ashton had told me to wear a swimsuit, I took out my bikini. It's Aztec design, with a black top half. I put it on before getting changed, putting on a few bracelets and necklaces, then slipping into my black boots. I carefully did my makeup, putting on some heavy black eyeliner and mascara, and then I straightened my hair, adjusting my blue fringe so that it sat over my eye slightly. Looking at myself in the mirror, I realised how plain, boring, and simple I looked. Oh well, it'll have to do.

Grabbing my bag, I threw in my phone, earphones, money, and chewing gum. I hopped down the stairs and shuffled into the sitting room, where the boys were waiting. 'Hi, ready?' I asked them. They all turned around from their seats on the couch, Calum throwing his arm over the back of it. He was wearing a muscle top, so his muscles were just... wow. 'You look great, Nova!' Michael beamed at me. 'Thanks' I replied, feeling my cheeks blush lightly. 'Yeah, loving the badass look', Ashton chimed in, giggling a bit. 'You look like someone I'd rather not mess with' Calum laughed. 'You're right there, Mr. Hood' I laughed. 'Yeah.. You look... Amazing, Nova' Luke looked me up and down, before his blue eyes met mine. 'Um, thanks Luke, you don't look too bad yourself' I grinned. Expecting him to look away, I walked over and leaned on the side of the couch. I didn't look back at Luke again, but I knew he was staring at me. Why?

'Alright, enough hanging 'round, lets go explore some shit!' Ashton jumped up, making me jump a bit too. 'Cool! Lets gooo' Calum said as he got up and stretched. I made my way to the door and waited there for the boys. Not long after I got there, so did the boys. We all headed out to Ashtons car. I sat in the front passenger seat, Ashton next to me in the drivers seat, Luke in the back, squished between Michael and Calum, who were in the window seats. 'Ow, stop shoving Cal!' I heard Luke whine. I turned around to him. 'I could sit there if you want, I'm smaller so it might be easier?' I offered. He smiled at me before saying 'No, you might get suffocated or something. Or they could bore you to death' he laughed. I smiled, and took off my seatbelt, hopped out of the car, opened the door on Michaels side, and motioned for Michael to get out. 'I think I'll handle them' I laughed. 'Okay, if you're sure', Luke smiled before dragging himself out of the backseat. Once he was out, I climbed in, and Michael clambered in after me, half of him falling on top of me. 'Whoops' he laughed and shuffled over so he wasn't sitting on me anymore. 'Okay, everyone good? Good' Ashton said, not waiting for an answer, instead he pulled out of the driveway and turned up the radio. A CD was playing, and I immediately recognised it as Blink-182. The song I Miss You started to play. 'I love this song!' I shouted to Michael over the loud music. It was really damn loud. 'Me too!' he shouted back. I grabbed his hand and Calums hand and started singing along. They started to sing along too. Well, I wouldn't call it singing. It was closer to the sound of cats being mauled than it was to singing. 'WHERE ARE YOUUUU, AND IM SO SORRYYYY, I CANNOT SLEEP, I CANNOT DREAM TONIGHT, I NEED SOMEBODY AND ALWAYYYYSS, THIS SICK STRANGE DARKNESS, COMES CREEPING ON SO HAUNTING EVERY TIMMEEEEE' we screamed, still holding hands and swaying from side to side, scrunching our eyes closed, as if we really felt the emotion of the song. We are great actors, really.

'First stop, the aquarium', Ashton kept up the commentary as we parked outside destination number 1. We all clambered out of the car, me landing on top of Calum as I tried to get out. He ended up dragging me out by the arm. We fixed ourselves - its a hard job having so much fun and then getting trampled as we try to get out of a car- and all walked into the aquarium. We paid and got our passes into the aquarium. We all walked around, gaping at all the different kinds of fish in their tanks. At one point, we were walking through the tunnel, the one that is like a tunnel through the huge tanks, and you're completely surrounded by water and fish, when a huge shark, swam by Luke, scaring him so much he jumped back, knocking me over. 'Shit, I'm so sorry!' he stammered, grabbing my hand and pulling me up. He kept rambling on about how sorry he was, but I was laughing too hard to even notice. Eventually, he stopped apologising, and just stared at me, before bursting into giggles too. We were both standing in the middle of the tunnel, grabbing onto each others shoulders for balance, laughing our asses off. 'They're weird' I heard Michael whisper to Ashton and Calum. 'Okay okay we're done' I straightened up, dusted imaginary dust off my shirt, and walked on. The boys eventually followed after.

'That was wicked!' I said as we all hopped back into the car, 'Where are we off to next?' I asked. 'Our favourite place to eat' Ashton replied, looking at me through the rear view mirror. 'Cool', I said, before the music was cranked up and Michael, Calum and I went back to our amazing death metal rock band singing. Well, it was Nickelback. Don't judge.

We pulled into a parking lot and parked right outside a Nandos. 'NANDOS' I screamed, leaping over Michael and out of the car, heading straight for the restaurant. Michael and Luke soon caught up with me in the queue, Ashton and Calum behind us.

We ordered and sat down to eat. There were a million different conversations going a million different ways. Well, not really, but, you know what I mean.

'So, where are we off to next?' I asked Ashton, who was sitting next to me. 'Well, its still early enough, so we might head over to the beach. Sound good?' He asked. 'Yeah, that sounds wicked! Back in Ireland I lived in the midlands, there wasn't a beach for miles. But I always loved the beach and the idea of being able to just go over to the beach whenever I felt like it', I told him. 'Well, now you can!' he laughed.'We go to the beach a lot, so you can come with us whenever we do, if you want', Luke chipped in. I smiled at him. 'That would be great, thanks!'

'Anytime, babe.'
