Nova's P.O.V

After my dad hung up, he put the phone on the table and turned to me. "Dont worry, darling, you will be back to your friends soon", he smiled sweetly at me. "You monster, kidnapping me, beating me up, threatening my friends, all for stupid money?" I questioned disbelievingly.

I had woken up in a big, dark, room with only a dim light shining down from the high ceiling about half an hour ago. You can imagine my reaction when I found out my dad had kidnapped me. He and his friend - or accomplice, whichever - were looking for a way to get the money, that was due to the Irwin kids, before they themselves even knew about it. Dad - no, I dont want to call him that. I will use his real name. Jared explained to me that he had been planning to kidnap Lauren on her way back from school, but when he found out I now lived here, he thought I would be better for the job. It literally made me sick to my stomach that this could have been lauren. To be totally honest, I'm glad it was me. If would always take her place. She is such a sweet girl, she doesnt deserve this.

Jared had beat me up pretty bad. My lip was busted from when he hit me. There was blood everywhere. I could nearly feel a black eye forming, and I was covered in bruises, big and small, my back was aching from when he kicked it, and my stomach and ribs hurt so so so much. I lifted my top to inspect my tummy. There was a huge bruise that stretched from my hip to my ribs and widened from the middle of my stomach to my side. It hurt like nothing else ever.

'Oh, but its not just money, darling. Its a lot of money. With $200,000 I could do so many things' he laughed. I hate him so much. Yeah, he was a fricken idiot when he lived with me and my mom, but he never beat us up. He has changed for the worst since I last saw him.

'Im gonna go, I will be back tomorrow. The mini fridge over there has a can of Coke and a bar in it. Help yourself' he said before leaving the room and locking the door. Dammit, I hadnt even noticed the mini fridge. I sat on the foldout chair and attempted to make myself comfortable.Its gonna be a long night.

I noticed a small window at the top of the wall opposite me. I could just see the stars shining brightly outside. They really are beautiful. I checked the time on the clock on the wall.

11.03 pm

'Please come save me boys' I whispered to the stars as I began to cry.

Luke's P.O.V

Last night Ashton had told Anne that we were all staying at my place, only so that she wouldnt know Nova was missing. At first she was unsure, but eventually gave in. Thank fuck. We plan on getting Nova back without Anne even knowing she was ever gone in the first place. So we had all stayed at my place, refusing to sleep until we had formed some sort of plan.

**flashback to last night**

We had just arrived back at my place. My brothers werent home til next week, my dad was working the night shift, and my mom was at a friends house having some sort of weird girls night. So the house was empty, and I had it to myself all night.

'Yeah mom, she is fine.... she wants to stay here too.... umm no you cant talk to her she is in the bathroom right now.... yeah ill tell her.... of course ill take care of her..... okay, bye mom.... yeah, yeah, love you too' Ashton lied right through his teeth on the phone. I chuckled humorlessly at his lies. I wish he didnt have to. I wish she was here.

'Okay, we are sleeping in the sitting room. Cal and Mike, grab a few blankets from upstairs, Ashton, come with me, we need to pull down the mattress from my room to the sitting room' I ordered.
