Bakwan: Fight Back Fanfiction

Even if I become a shadow of my former self, I'm right here/I am not alone anymore 

The fanfic title is a line from Teniwoha's Samsa song and the title technically is two titles, inspired by the Kamen Rider W episode title.

The fanfic is basically Karis telling the gang what happened to Inok and how he died because they didn't know it yet while they did help him with the bullying cases in the school, with the origin story of how the Karis Protection Squad was founded, also Karis is too tired in this like emotionally tired of everything. Also sorry if it's too ooc. also it's newer version than in my twitter.

This is platonic relationship, Karis see Inok as a brother.

Six people arrived on the rooftop, Karis walking ahead of them, towards the place where Inok jumped. He touched the broken fence while the wind touched his hair softly. He looked at the bottom, remembering how he saw Inok's corpse on the ground.

"So, what are you going tell us?.." Alana asked, she was slightly concerned about Karis these past few weeks. She knows Karis hiding something from them, his eyes look tired nowadays but she knows that Karis is a good boy so she waits for a response from him.

"Remember that time 'Inok and I fought' ?" He asked softly, he said it like the fight isn't actually a fight. Everyone nervously nodded, Bintang was now more nervous cause he remembered how sad Karis was that day.

"Y-Yes, what that day do with this secret you want to tell us?..." Bintang asked, nervous about Karis's response.

Karis leaned against the broken fence, which made them worry about how close Karis was to the edge even though there was still a fence, looking at them with lifeless eyes made them frozen in place. A dejected smile spread across his face, "Inok and I never fought, but... in this exact spot... He committed suicide..." He pointed to where he stood.

Everyone was shocked, Klara gasped and put her hands to her mouth. Medi was so shocked that he backed away for a few steps. Alana was going to ask more but Karis interrupted her first.

"I chased him to try to stop him, reason with him to not jump but I failed... I failed I failed I failed to save him, IT'S ALL MY FAULT!" Karis rambled, started scratching his head and pulling his hair, his tears began to fall to the ground. His body started to shake uncontrollably.

"I was supposed to save him yet I failed him and I regret not saying I love him before he jumped, I am fucking loser... fucking waste of space!"

He heard someone walking slowly toward him. He doesn't know who, he can't face them face to face while he crying like a failure he is. What he isn't expecting is that he getting slapped.

"Karis, look at me.." Karis nervously face to face to Langit. Langit's face looked serious but he didn't look mad at all. "Karis, you have done a lot, more than any of us should have done, so don't blame yourself. We are right here with you." He smiled and finally, Karis let it out, and one by one, everyone hugged him and cried with him. Bintang and Langit patting Karis's head to let him out. Medi patted Karis's back softly.

After that crying hugging fest, Karis tells them Pak Yoo threatens to expel him if he tries to tell what happened to Inok, and Pak Yoo tries to cover the truth by faking the information.

"What in actual fuck?.." Both Langit and Bintang said.

"Now that's just wrong on so many levels.." Klara replied and Alana nodded and agreed.

Medi, trying to think of an idea for this situation then he snapped his fingers.

"I know, what if I become a double spy agent?"

"Medi, what are you talking about?" Klara is confused about what Medi saying.

"So, you know that Pak Yoo depends on me to report who has been behaving and I don't know why he wants me to watch Karis... so what if I lie about my report and give Pak Yoo information to you cause I don't want to be his side anymore after I just found this dumpster fire of a case..."

"Medi, that's actually a great idea. He doesn't expect you to betray him since you know... he always tells me how you are too loyal for a student" Alana said, she remembered Pak Yoo had subtle hints of favoritism to Medi and Medi just followed his requests until now.

All of them rambled to make solutions to stop bullying in their school, Karis finally sighed in relief. He smiles genuinely at them and then looks at the sky, even there a rainbow in the sky as well. A green butterfly flies towards him and sits on his shoulder then flies away. He thinks it's a way of Inok saying hello and thank you to him. He is not alone anymore.
