Abused (first chapter)

Kion POV
From the day I was born, my "father" hated me. Every day, he would hit me. Scratch me, yell, etc.... eventually, I got used to it, but this made me very insecure and mentally weak. I often just want to be alone, but if I try and escape, I get hit more. If I try and hide, I get hit more. My life is terrible, and I've contemplated suicide more than once. I could never do it, but damn did I get close last time.

Simba isn't the only one who abuses or mistreats me. Kiara bullies me, and she's just as bad as Simba. Nala, she doesn't give a shit about me she let's it all happen.

The only good thing to come out of this is Teo.

One day, I was resting at a watering hole right after patrol (Yes, resting in public). Then Simba saw me and attacked. He pounced on me and slapped me, and scratched me repeatedly once right across the eye. Left me half blind. When he was finished, I was in a pool of blood and tears. He just walked away. After a few minutes of crying, I heard footsteps and a soft, "Let me help you." I looked up to see a brown wolf, that's all I could see my vision was blurry from the blood and tears I backed away but he said, "Woah, be careful, my name is Teo, I want to help." I say, "What, why?" He said, "Because you clearly need it. Can you stand?" I try to stand and weakly do with his help.

We walked to an empty cave where I wiped my eyes, I was trying to stop crying, but it didn't help. When I wiped my eyes, I looked at Teo.

He has a bright smile. It was the first thing I saw. The second was an antelope leg he was carrying in his mouth. He dropped it and said, "Eat, I'll go find your healer." I say, "Wait, don't go. If he finds me again. I'm dead." He nods and sits next to me. He says, "I'm from a pack in the outlands not very far away, and we've been watching you, Kion." I say,"Why me, I'm useless." Teo says, 'No, you're not. You're just abused. You hate him, don't you." I nod, but Teo says, "I shouldn't be talking about this while you're hurt, just eat."

I eat, and he waits for me to finish before saying, "I'm with a wolf pack in the west outlands. We've seen how he treats you, and we want to give you an offer." I say, "What offer?" He says, 'We want to get you outta here, and you can live with us, help us, defeat Simba and all of the royal family." I start to say something, but he said, "Don't answer yet, I'll be here every night, take your time." I say, "Okay. But why do you want me?" Teo says, 'Because you have a reason to help, most lions would kill us, but you. You seem like a good guy, but someone who also wants revenge." I don't respond. I don't know how to.

Shortly after he stands and says, "I have to go, I'll see you around." I nod and say, "Teo, if you see a cheetah, can you tell her where I am." He says, "Yeah."

Half an hour later, I'm found by Fuli. She hugs me and says, "Are you okay." I wince and say, "Careful, I'm fine." She licks my cheek and says, "Should I get Rafiki?" I say, "Yeah, but wait." She says, "What's up?" I say, "Did Teo tell you about me." She nods and says, "Yeah, the wolf, I assume." I say, "Yeah." Shs says, "I'm glad he did." I say, "Yeah, he helped me out." She smiles and says, "I'll go get Rafiki, but I shouldn't tell him about it, should I?" I shake my head, and she runs out.

*Fuli pov*

I have a mixed relationship with the pridelands. The pridelands it self us great it's lively and full of food, but it's people are mostly pricks.

Kion is my best friend, but everyone else hates him. Even the Guard, some of the things they say, make my blood boil. Even Bunga, who was supposed to be his "best friend," yeah, right. They all make me mad, but I couldn't live anywhere else, I wouldn't make it in the outlands, and I don't know anywhere else.

But that wolf he was strange. He seemed nice, contrary to what I've heard about wolves. Teo, I guess, he was calm and felt kind.

When I get to Rafiki's, I say, "Rafiki, Kion is hurt again." He sighs and says, "I'll be there in a minute."

Rafiki is kind of neutral in this whole thing. He cares about Kion, but he cares for Simba more. But Rafiki would never leave Kion to die.

A minute or two later, he walks out and says, "Show me." I bring him to Kion, who is sleeping in the cave, so Rafiki says, "Wake him please." I lightly nudge Kion, who wakes with a start but quickly realizes where he is. Rafiki says, "You're wounds are minor, you should be fine, but be careful." He nods and says, "Thank you, Rafiki." Rafiki smiles and says, "You're welcome.

Rafiki bandages Kion's wounds and says, "Alright, you'll be okay, take it easy though." Kion says, "Thank you again, Rafiki." Rafiki just nods, and we walk out.
