when the wolves call

a fiery trial

*Kion pov*
After I hear the roar, I know it's for me, so I turn towards priderock, but I feel a paw on my shoulder. It's Fuli, she says, "I'm going with you." I say, 'You don't have to Fuls." She says, "Yes I do, I need to be there for you." I say, "Thanks, Fuli." She smiles, and I look at the guard before saying, "Finish patrol, I probably won't be back."

We walk up priderock where the entire pride is waiting. Simba says, "Kion, you are under trial, for failure to complete you lion guard duties." I sit down in front of the pride, and Simba starts.

He says, "You were told yesterday if any more animals were lost to outlanders you would be banished." I nod and say, "Cut the crap Simba, that's not why you're banishing me." He says, "What are you talking about." I say, 'I'm not your son, am I? I'm the son of your worst enemy." He says, 'You're insane." I say, 'No, I don't think I am. Because Zira told me everything, I'm her son, I'm the last son of Scar F*cker." Simba says, "Do not say his name." I say, "Why not are you scared, I think I'm right, no?" I look around the pride, and everyone looks scared, so I continue, "Yeah I think I am. The day Zira was banished, she gave birth to me, the last son of Scar. But she left me here for a better life, you wanted to abandon me but your mother Sarabi wouldn't let you, would she?" Simba and the rest of the pride are silent. I say, "So you tricked everyone into thinking I was your son, but you were always scared of me so you abused me and tried to kill me, but you never did, and it all led to this. You're gonna banish me, and it'll be the biggest mistake you ever made."

Simba yells, "Shut your mouth!" I say, 'F*ck you b*tch, I've been quiet my entire life, and you made me. Now it's my turn!" He says, "Banished, get him out of here now." Before the guards can reach me, I kiss Fuli and say, "I'll be back." Then I walk to the outlands on my own. The guards followed me a little, but they left after a few minutes. I turn walk to the wolf territory where Teo and the others are waiting for me."

Teo says, "I'm glad you're alive." I say, "Me too." He chuckles and says, "Sven is waiting for you." I say, "Okay."

We walk into the main cave where Sven is waiting for me. When we walk in, he nods at the guards who block the entrance/exit. Which locks Hallow and Oscar out. Teo says, "What is this Sven." Sven says, "Kion, your father wants you dead." I shrink, my ears drop, and I back away from him." I sheepishly say, "So." He says, "He wants me to kill you. He threatened the wolves again." Teo and Mathias step in front of me, ready for a fight, but Sven says, "Back off boys. I'm not killing him. But you can't stay here yet." I say, "What?" He says, 'If Simba finds you here, me, you, my family, and half the wolves will be killed. So I want you to travel north and train so in one year you can return and we will take down Simba, or Kiara whoever is the leader." I hear Hallow yelling at the guards so Sven says, "Dammit let them in." Hallow and Oscar walk in and say, "What the hell is going on." Teo says, "Simba wanted Sven to kill Kion, but instead, Kion is going north to train and is coming back in a year." Hallow says, "Then let us go with him." Teo says, "Yeah, we can help him." Mathias nods, and Oscar shrugs, so Sven says, "If you wish too, but you must leave soon."

I say, "You guys don't have to do that." Teo says, "As your friend, I do." Hallow says, "Yeah, we all love you like a brother." Oscar smiles and says, "Yeah, bro, it's the least we can do." Matthias says, "Yeah, like a much younger brother from another mother." I chuckle and say, "Thanks, guys."

Sven says, "Hurry you must go he will be here soon." I say, "Yes, sir." Then he has the guards move, and the 5 of us leave, but we don't go north. Instead, we go east towards Zira's territory. When we get there, we are met by Vitani and a few others. To my suprise, she says, "You're here for a place to stay right?" I say, "Just for a few hours." She nods and says, "Follow me."

She leads us into some termite hills. Inside is Zira and the rest of her pride. I walk up to her and say, "Ma'am." She looks at me and says, "I've been expecting you, I assume you need somewhere to stay." I say, "Not for long, just till midnight." She says, "Where are you going?" I say, "North, but I need to speak with a few pridelanders tonight." She says, "You all are welcome to stay here." I say, "Thank you, Ma'am." She says, 'Before you go who are the wolves." Everyone introduces themselves, and Zira says, "I am Zira, Vitani, and Kovu can find you a place to stay." Both the teen lions sigh, but Kovu says, "Follow us."

As we walk, Vitani asks, "Did Mother tell you?" I say, "About my family, yes." She says, 'It's strange, isn't it?'" I say, "Yeah, everything changed for me." She says, "Well, at least you know the truth." I say, "Yeah... doesn't it make us related, though?" She says, "Yeah, that's weird." I say, "Yeah, who would've thought after all of our fights." She smiles and shrugs as we walk. Kovu says, "So what did you plan to do." I say, "We're headed north to train and heal, we're returning in a year, though, to take down the pridelands." He nods as we approach a termite mound and he says, "You guys can stay here, it doesn't look like much but the mounds are very cool, and keep light out so you can sleep." I say, "Thanks." He nods, and both of them walk away.

I walk into the mound and say, "I'm gonna sleep, you guys probably should too, we're gonna travel a good bit during the night, but I need to talk with Fuli, and Roni tonight." Hallow says, "Who's Roni?" I say, "A friend, who wanted out of the pridelands I was thinking she could join us." Teo says, "What about Fuli?" I say, "She wouldn't leave before. I don't think she'll change her mind."

He nods, and we all lay down to sleep.
