The Great Hall was alive with the sounds of excited chatter and clinking silverware as students settled in for their first feast of the new school year. The enchanted ceiling above mirrored a perfect twilight sky, its deep purples and soft oranges slowly giving way to twinkling stars. Laughter and joyful reunions filled the air, with friends catching up on their summer adventures and making bold predictions about the year ahead. Harry, Ron, and Hermione were deep in conversation at the Gryffindor table, eagerly discussing the upcoming Quidditch season and the new classes they would take.
At the staff table, Professor Dumbledore watched the scene with a warm, satisfied smile. His eyes twinkled as he surveyed his students, glad to see them so carefree and content. The familiar comfort of Hogwarts had a way of making even the most anxious student feel at home. However, the calm was suddenly interrupted when a shimmering, golden envelope materialized in the air right before Dumbledore, hovering in front of him. The chatter in the hall quieted instantly as every eye turned to the Headmaster, curious whispers spreading like wildfire. Dumbledore reached out and took the envelope, his expression unreadable. He carefully opened it, revealing a letter written in elegant, flowing script. As he read, his brows furrowed slightly, and the twinkle in his eyes faded into a look of deep contemplation. After a long pause, Dumbledore stood, raising his hand to call for silence. The students and staff alike waited with bated breath.
"It appears," Dumbledore began, his voice carrying across the hall with a calm authority, "that we are about to embark on a rather unexpected journey. We have received a message from someone who calls herself Lady Magic. She has arranged for us to view a series of films -memories, if you will - about Olivia Potter and her friends, to shed light on experiences that have, until now, been hidden from us."
Gasps rippled through the hall, and Harry's eyes widened in shock. Hermione's hand flew to her mouth, while Ron exchanged confused looks with Neville and Ginny. Many of the students had heard of Olivia Potter, Harry's twin sister, but her story had always been overshadowed by Harry's fame. No one knew much about her, and she was seldom spoken of. But now, it seemed, they were about to learn everything.
Before anyone could fully grasp what was happening, the hall shimmered again, and in a flash of light, the parents of many students appeared, looking just as bewildered as their children. Among them were James and Lily Potter, who looked around in confusion before their eyes landed on Harry. They rushed over, embracing him tightly, though their expressions held more questions than answers.
"Harry, what's going on?" Lily asked, her eyes darting to the other parents who were equally disoriented. "Why are we here?" James placed a comforting hand on Harry's shoulder, his face a mix of concern and curiosity. "We were just at home, and now..." Before Harry could respond, Dumbledore spoke again, louder this time to address everyone in the hall. "This is a unique situation, and I ask for your patience and openness as we uncover these truths together. The films are meant to reveal much about Olivia Potter and the trials she has faced - trials that have remained hidden from us all. The first of these films is called 'Divergent'." Lily and James were shocked. The daughter they forgot they had that disappeared years ago, was alive, and they were to watch her life.
On the other side of the hall at the Ravenclaw table William Lupin-Black sat in silence, his heart pounding as Dumbledore's announcement echoed in the Great Hall. The news of the films about Olivia, his best friend who had vanished eight years ago, struck him like a lightning bolt. His usually calm and composed demeanor shattered as he stared at Dumbledore, the memories of their childhood together resurfacing with a painful clarity. The shock of hearing Olivia's name and the hint of her struggles displayed so publicly made it clear that the years of uncertainty and unanswered questions were finally converging, leaving him both anxious and desperate to understand what had happened to her.
With a wave of Dumbledore's wand, the long tables vanished, replaced by rows of comfortable seats facing a large screen that appeared at the far end of the hall. Students and parents alike moved hesitantly to find seats, the air buzzing with a mix of anticipation and unease. The lights dimmed, and the flickering screen came to life, casting an eerie glow over the hall.
