The echo of their footsteps filled the corridor as Four and Ollie walked side by side toward the simulation hall. The fluorescent lights above buzzed faintly, casting a pale glow on the walls. Ollie shoved her hands into her jacket pockets, trying to mask the nervous energy bubbling beneath her skin.

"They can see your hallucinations on the screen," Four said quietly, his voice steady but clipped. "So you get past your fears the way a Dauntless would — but you need to do it quickly."

Ollie shot him a look, one brow arched. "Right. If I'm too good, they'll kill me. If I'm too slow, then I'll die. Love that for me."

Four gave the barest hint of a smirk but didn't break stride. "Right."

She exhaled through her nose, muttering, "Well, at least it's simple."

They stopped outside the simulation room, the heavy door looming like a final warning. Four turned to her, his eyes searching hers. "Good luck."

Ollie tilted her head, her usual smirk flickering back just for a moment. "Good luck to me? You're adorable."

A cluster of Four/Ollie shippers burst into giggles, clutching each other as one whispered, "Did you hear that? She called him adorable — canon, absolutely canon!"

His mouth twitched, but his tone stayed serious. "Hope you make it."

"Yeah," she said, squaring her shoulders. "Me too."

And with that, she stepped toward the door.

The door to the simulation hall swung open with a metallic creak, and Ollie stepped inside. The room was colder than the corridor, the kind of chill that sank straight into her bones. Bright lights glared overhead, making the sleek black chair in the center of the room look more like an execution seat than anything else.

Behind the glass wall, Dauntless leaders had already gathered, their silhouettes sharp against the glowing monitors. She caught a few faces staring down at her, unreadable, waiting to judge. The weight of their eyes made her pulse quicken, but she forced her chin higher.

A Dauntless tech gestured toward the chair. "Sit."

"Do I at least get a cookie after this?" Ollie quipped, but her voice came out tighter than usual. Still, she slid into the chair, the leather cold against her back.

The tech strapped a band around her wrist, then pressed a syringe just below her jawline. She hissed softly at the sting of the needle as the serum coursed into her bloodstream, already leaving a faint chill in its wake.

"Wires," the tech muttered, fixing two thin cables to her temples. The hum of the machines kicked up, the monitors behind the glass flickering to life. Ollie glanced once at the window, half-expecting to see Four there — but he was gone, already back with the others.

She swallowed, gripping the armrests as her heart hammered in her chest.

"All set," the tech said, stepping back.

Ollie let out a slow breath, forcing her voice into a whisper only she could hear. "Dauntless style."

Her eyes fluttered shut, and the simulation took her.

Hogwarts held its breath, some students whispering nervously while others squealed over her whisper, calling it the most badass way to dive headfirst into the simulation.
