After Emily's Decesion

****Sonny's POV****

Emily slowly but surely got her eyes open, I put my hands to my face, Amanda got out of the chair and came over and hugged me tightly
Both holding onto one another watching Emily so the doctors could do what they need to.

"Emily, hey sweetie."
Alex said to her

Emily sorta smiled

"So you're the famous Emily I've been told about."
Dr shepherd smiled going to the other side

Alex began to check Emily's vital's
While Dr Shepherd shined a light in her eyes to check everything.

"Her vitals are really good, like perfect."
Alex said

I felt relief
But also
How does this make sense

"Yes I see that, her eyes look great and I see no signs of trauma."
Dr Shepherd said

"Sonny, Amanda do you give us permission to take out the tube in her throat?"
Dr Shepherd spoke up

"Yes, yes."
Amanda and I both nodded

Alex and Dr Shepherd looked at Emily

"Emily I'm going to take this tube out, and we need you to take a big deep breath in when we say and let it out as we pull this out slowly, it's going to be uncomfortable and you'll cough a lot but we'll give you some water once it's out."
Emily nodded

"Her hearing hasn't been damaged it's appearing so that's a good sign."
Dr Shepherd smiled at us

Amanda and I moved closer and Alex and Dr Shepherd began to remove the tube from Emily's throat Once it was out
Emily began to cough a lot while Dr Shepherd went to get a drink for Emily and Alex held a paper towel under her mouth while he helped her sit up to cough

Dr Shepherd gave Emily the water and she began to drink and handed Dr Shepherd the cup

"Emily can you hear everything we're Saying?"
Alex asked

"Yes."
Emily said

Dr Shepherd and Alex did some vision tests with her and hearing tests, and some strengthening tests with her hands and legs

Amanda and I didn't say anything to Emily so we didn't get in the way of what the doctors were doing

They both scratched their heads

"What wrong?"
Amanda asked

"Can we talk in the hallway?"
Dr Shepherd said

"Yeah."
I spoke

"Emily we'll be right back."
Alex smiled

"Ok."
Emily smiled and laid back in her bed

"What's going on?"
Amanda asked as Alex shut the door behind us
In the hallway

"I'm going to tell you both something, I've been dealing with pediatrics for along time in general, neurology has been my strength in the process but I'm going to tell you something I've never seen anything like this."
Dr Shepherd said

"Seen anything like what?!"
I said panicked

"Emily passed with flying colors all the exams and tests we did, she did them perfect. Dr Shepherd and I was fixing to come in here and give you something I struggled with not knowing how to say."
Alex said

"I pretty much was going to have to tell you, Emily's chance of survival with her scans and state she was in was slim to none. I was gonna talk to you  do the surgery but there was only a 30% chance she would survive, and the 70% chance if she did survive she could be in a vegetation state or have serious issues that would require around the clock care."
Dr shepherd frowned
