The tapping of my shoes can be heard clearly in this silent room. The floor is made of stone and I choose it because of a reason. Cleaning blood from cemented floor is messy and I like my space clean.

I look at the pathetic excuse of a man who is tied to the metal chair in the centre of the room. The one who thought he could put his hand on my short stuff and walk away without any consequences. Such a fool.

"So" I start, my shoes clacking on the tiles as I move to stand in front of him. "Here we are" I say, my arms raising to sides.

John jerks against the zip ties binding him, his eyes red and wide. He mumbles something, but it's difficult to hear behind the duct tape covering his mouth.

I lean forward "What was that?"

My eyes go to two my men standing in the corner. Jay and Raj. They are the best and you can say that I trust him. They have been my first recruits ever.

"Did you understand him?" I ask them

"Couldn't hear a thing" Jay says

I look back at the bound man in front of me, tapping my finger to my mouth. "Hmm....Hard to hear behind the tape. Perhaps we should remove it."

Raj nods and walk over, ripping the duct tape off. The man's eye wince, his mouth rubbed raw from it being torn roughly off his skin.

"Now." I nod "What would you like to say?"

"Shi—Shivansh man I'm sorry. I didn't know she was yours" he cries.

Irritation flickers deep in my chest as I hear his crying and glance down at the saliva pooled on the floor from where it flew out of his disgusting mouth.

"She approached me. The bitch was looking for rich men" he spits

My fist connected with his face and his head lolled to his side. He howls in pain as his mouth fills with blood. Pretty sure his teeth are broken.

"You know it always amuses me when a man thinks he can blame his actions on the woman." I walk toward the metal table lining the wall and unbuttons my suit jacket.

"And you seriously lack the capability to understand when your life is in danger. Either you're a fool or it's a lack of awareness" Picking up my black gloves, I slip them over my hands, admiring the way they feel against my skin.

Anticipation simmers low in my gut.

I spin around, picking up my pocket knife. Flipping it open, I spin it around my fingers as I walk slowly towards his chair, stopping right in front of him.
