Leilani grabbed my arm when we walked into the closest restaurant, "Oscar let's just go eat somewhere else. Like, McDonald's or something and stay in the car." She whispered just before we got to the hostess and I frowned "I'm not taking you to McDonald's- girl, are you crazy?"

I turned to look at her and she seemed nervous, "everyone's all dressed up and I do not look like I belong in here." She tightened her grip on me and I looked at her clothes, that were completely fine more than fine actually.

"And people are looking at me," she whined a little and I laughed as I leaned down, "they're looking at you because you're nice to look at, trust me." I whispered as I kissed the side of her head and she rolled her eyes "you're just saying that." She said as she wiped my kiss off her head but I just kissed her in the same spot "don't wipe off my love, that's rude- that's hurtful."

She laughed a little then frowned "you look fine and I look crazy can we go somewhere else?" She pulled on me and I smiled as I raised my eye brow "so you think I'm fine?"

Her face started to turn red and I could tell she was fighting a smile, "I get that you're trying to cheer me up but it's okay. People are just gonna look at us crazy, and wonder why you're sitting next to me like they always did with Brandon and I already feel shitty."

"Table for two?" The hostess asked, and I heard Leilani let out a broken sigh when the girl looked at me and smiled. But her smile grew a lot bigger when she locked eyes with Leilani, "your hair is so beautiful- oh my god."

Leilani didn't say anything, she seemed really shocked like she couldn't believe someone liked something about her.

"Ain't it though," I said as I touched one of Leilani's curls, "but the face is even better." I pushed Leilani's chin and the girl made a dramatic noise, "you're so pretty and your man is obsessed with you- I fucking hate when god picks favorites." The girl playfully rolled her eyes as she grabbed two menus then waved for us to follow her.

"How does it feel to be gods favorite?" I leaned down and asked Leilani low in her ear, mocking the way the girl spoke, and she sounded like she was from deep in the valley.

She jumped a little and laughed as she wiped her ear then shoved me, "shut up."

The girl waved us towards a booth near the window, and you could see a lot of the city outside "Vegas is ugly during the day, but the sun is setting soon so you guys are going to have a good view." She said before she sat the menus down and winked at Leilani then walked off.

"Damn, it's like I didn't even exist." I said as I started to laugh and Leilani scrunched her face "I'm pretty sure she's just being nice. That like never happens to me, I don't get compliments all like that."

I sat back and blinked at her, and she frowned "what?" I laughed a little and leaned forward "do you ever leave the house other than working at your uncles shop, going to the grocery store and taking Stefani to speech therapy?" I asked and she slowly shook her head "well no- I have responsibilities."

I nodded as I started to open the menu, "that's why that never happens to you. You don't go outside-"

"Brandon makes me go to parties with him a lot on the weekends, that's when I go out and no one ever says anything." Leilani's voice trailed off a little and I stared at the menu as my jaw clenched.
