"Very well. Then, you two. Starting tomorrow, work hard as Night Raven College's handymen! And Akaza," Crowley joyfully spoke to Yuuken and Grimm, a bright smile on his face. His smile turned shakey as he turned to Akaza to address her. "Please do not kill anyone."

Night soon fell as Yuuken, Akaza, and Grimm explored the upstairs of the dormitory. They were looking for rooms for each one to spend the night in. The sky was still as cloudy as it was in the day, blocking the light of the moon making it harder for Yuuken to see where he was going.

Yuuken saw a cracked open door to the group's left. He felt somewhat hopeful that this would be a habitable room, every single room before was disgusting. Either the roof was damaged, holes were in the windows, or there was piles of dirt everywhere. He stepped towards the room, speeding up his pace due to the anticipation of a semi clean room. Unfortunately, Yuuken did not see the loose floor board sticking out causing him to trip on it.

"AH-!" Yuuken shut his eyes and tensed as he braced to hit the floor, however he never did. He opened his eyes and looked at his arm where he felt a grip on it. He could only see two blue and yellow glowing eyes, the kanji and cracked glass look appearing more ominous in the dark. Yuuken felt his face warm out of embarrassment. "Thank you for catching me, Akaza."

Akaza could see a small dust of pink on his cheeks. She flinched and dropped his arm as a memory hit her like a train. Yuuken fell on his butt, he looked up to see a frozen Akaza gasping for breath with widened eyes.

Akaza's vision was blurry but even with the distortion she could tell that she was seeing the inside of a building in Japan. The walls were fuzzy but she could see there were traditional shoji doors and the floors were covered in tatami mats. This was a dojo, but whose dojo was it? She looked down and guessed she was in the middle of a training session. She was wearing what she assumed to be a gi and her hands were balled into fists.

The shoji for to her left slid open. Akaza's head turned to the sound, standing in the door was what she assumed to be a human woman.

"———, will you eat lunch with me? You've been training for hours already." A feminine voice said. The person was wearing a pink kimono, from the neck up they were covered in shadow. She seemed so familiar. The only identifying feature that Akaza could see was her pale skin.

"After i finish this set." Akaza said, her body automatically throwing punches at the air. She could feel the sweat trickling down her skin but she was almost done. She only had a few more to go.

"It's always after you finish this set, take a break. Please." The woman again said, her voice was so soft and sweet. Akaza stopped her set mid punch, her body relaxing and moving towards the shadowed woman. This action was again out of her control, it seemed like this was going to be a pattern so she begrudgingly let it happen.

"Fine" Akaza sighed as she followed the woman out the shoji door, sliding it closed as they left. They walked down the hallway, in comfortable silence.

"AH-!" The woman's foot caught on the long fabric of her kimono causing her to trip. Her fall was stopped by Akaza catching her, though Akaza could not see her face she could feel her gaze on her. It was loving. It was warm. Akaza could feel her cheeks burn as she could feel the gentle emotions directed at her. She couldn't remember a time that anyone had felt anything positive towards her. "Thank you for catching me,———."

    "It is no issue,———"

"Ak-!"

"Akaza!"

"Akaza!"

Akaza flinched, eyes swiveling around wildly as she tried to make sense of the abrupt change of scenery. Her mind was still stuck in the Japanese style building but her eyes were seeing the hallway of the dilapidated dorm. She felt a grip on her arms and could hear a male voice.

"AKAZA!" Yuuken shouted worriedly. The combination of volume of his voice and his grip snapped her back to the world around her. She tentatively exhaled as her shoulders relaxed. Her body had stopped shaking as she recognized her surroundings. She was in the upstairs hallway of Ramshackle, Yuuken and Grimm standing infront of her.

"Hey! What was that, you stopped all of a sudden! Are you tired or somethin'?" Grimm asked looking up at the now present demon. There was a speck of worry in his confused eyes though his tone of voice didn't reflect that.

"It's nothing, let's check out the room." Akaza said, quickly cutting the conversation short. She opened the door to the room and entered, leaving the males in the hall.

Yuuken and Grimm did not press the demon further. Grimm got distracted by his curiosity of the room while Yuuken could tell that she didn't want to talk about it. He didn't know Akaza for more than a day, he felt he would be overstepping by pressuring her for answers.

The two entered the room, it was surprisingly clean compared to the rest of the building. The curtains were open and fully intact and so were the windows. There was a nicely sized bed with a bedside table, a vanity, a matching chair, and two doors to the side. There was a sheet on the bed and when Yuuken removed it he was pleasantly surprised to see the bed clean. The floor was a bit dusty but it wouldn't cause any issues for the night. It could be cleaned tomorrow when everyone had energy to do anything at all. Akaza went around the room pulling the curtains shut as Yuuken took off his shoes.

"You can take the bed Akaza." Yuuken said while loosening his tie. He set it on the bedside table and looked over at Akaza who was walking over to him. The room was much darker due to the curtains being closed though he could still see somewhat from the light of Grimm's flaming ears and the glow of Akaza's eyes.

"No you have it, I have no need for it." Akaza said as she took out her earrings, setting them on the same as Yuuken's tie table. She rolled her eyes at the thought of sleep. It was a human activity that demons had no use for and she believed that it was ridiculous for a demon to sleep like the weak humans did.

"I can't let you sleep on the floor, I would feel awful if I did that." Yuuken protested. He took off his blazer and folded it over the chair at the vanity. Grimm had already jumped up on the bed and laid on the bottom right corner. He was nodding off already, not paying any attention to the current conversation.

"Yuuken." Akaza said, slightly annoyed that he was arguing with her. Though she couldn't help but feel a little touched by the gesture. She removed her bracelets and anklets, leaving them next to her earrings. "Demons have no need for sleep."

"Please just lay down. Even if you don't need sleep it would be good to relax." Yuuken said frowning.

"Fine." Akaza sighed. For some reason she didn't like to see him frown, it was a moment of deja vu. She felt as though his frown looked exactly like someone else's expression that she knew. She untied her rope belt and started to pull down her pants, Yuuken flinched and looked away. Internally he was kicking himself for catching a glimpse of her in her underwear. Akaza left her vest on as she had nothing else on underneath it as she crawled under the covers. "You coming? You were the one insisting on me lying down. You are a human who needs sleep, so get in bed already."

Yuuken's face had cooled down by now as he took off his belt. He also got into bed, keeping a respectable distance from Akaza so he wouldn't push any boundaries. His eyes felt heavy as he nodded off, finally succumbing to sleep after such a long day.

Dear reader,
Here's a small filler chapter between Yuuken and Akaza for some sweet fluff and also to establish the dorm situation. Plus memories are starting to come back!
I hope you enjoyed the chapter! Next chapter will be the morning and after that will be the meeting of Ace! Let me know what you thought of this chapter and the story so far, it helps me improve my writing. Also I'm working on some art for a few chapters so keep an eye out for that!
