Thunderstorms Series: Part 3 (Drenched)

Chapter 15

They both jumped down to a nearby area that was secluded enough that no civilians... hopefully would get involved or hurt. That way Chat blanc couldn't at least take a hostage.

"Just in case, you have Cataclysm that you can only use one time. Use it when you think it will help the most. I know you're smart. Don't let me down." Ladybug said, turning to Fantôme.

Fantôme nodded.

As they awaited the approaching Chat blanc, Felix turned and saw Ladybug. She was her usual self but he could pick up on key differences. She was still herself after all. She was scared. Frail and anxious for the future. She was unsure how the future would turn out.

"How did he get akumatized?" Fantôme asked, seeing his question catch her off guard.

"Was it because of his mother?" He asked.

"Uh... yeah..." She said.

"I figured as much." Fantôme sighed, bringing his finger up to his mouth in thought, making Ladybug wonder what he was up to.

Ladybug and Fantôme both turned to the mass of white that stood in front of them. It was Chat Blanc... Adrien.

"The Akuma... last time I fought Chat blanc was in his bell, Chat Fantôme." Ladybug said, looking over to him.

"Understood." Fantôme said, nodding to her.

"You're replacing me? With a new..." Chat blanc stopped mid sentence to try and see who it really was, but then it clicked.

"Is... is that..." He started.

"No! I'm not replacing you!" Ladybug said. "You're just akumatized!"

"You and him have been getting closer everyday! You think I haven't seen that?" He glared.

"Getting closer? Well of course we have. We have to. He knows... He's your family... I'm trying to be there for you. I'm just trying to get along with everyone." She pleaded.

"You didn't even want to tell me about the almost kiss that happened though." Chat blanc said, his eyes full of hurt.

Fantôme looked over at Ladybug in confusion and then his eyes shot open in surprise. He remembered when he almost kissed Ladybug as Adrien. His face flushed red and turned away in embarrassment and Ladybug turned her head away from Fantôme, turning toward Chat Blanc.

"See! You two can't even look at one another anymore without blushing! What happened to loving me?!"

"I do love you!" She yelled.

"No! You don't!"

"I do, Chat noir!"

"I'm tired of everyone lying to me!" He yelled.

All of a sudden they saw Chat blanc flip his wrist right side up toward the sky and began to form a mega cataclysm. Ladybug turned to Fantôme, eyes wide with panic.

"Give me both of your miraculous, or the world will be destroyed in 10 seconds." Chat blanc demanded while glaring at Chat Fantôme.

Fantôme sighed and started walking toward Chat blanc when Ladybug sprinted over to Fantôme to stop him from giving up his miraculous. Though she was caught by his hands around her torso to stop her in her tracks. She blinked and saw Fantôme's eyes staring right into hers as she felt his lips pressed against hers.

He had swiftly turned, grabbed her and kissed her gently in a mere few seconds. He let her go and she stumbled backwards, her hand flying to her mouth. She was unable to comprehend what just happened and why. She turned to look at Fantôme and his face was bright pink from the kiss but his expression was calm as he turned back to Chat blanc.

Ladybug turned to Chat blanc who was now more outraged than he was previously. Though the mega cataclysm he had pointed at the world was now gone. Chat blanc was now jumping toward Chat Fantôme, using his claws and staff to try and get a few hits on him.

So that was Felix's plan. Get Adrien distracted by his anger. Take his mind off of the world and focus it on them instead... he was... actually rather smart. Though... she would have to smack Felix for kissing her later!

Ladybug recollected her thoughts and while Chat Fantôme was distracting Chat Blanc for the time being she called upon her lucky charm. Down came a hook. Ladybug looked down at it confused.

She looked around and saw Chat blanc and Fantôme fighting, both of their staffs clinking against one another.

"Huh... Maybe... that's it." Ladybug said to herself.

"Here! Chat Fantôme!" She called out, tossing the hook to him.

"Put that on your staff. Hook it to his bell and yank it."

Fantôme did as he was told and clipped it to the top of his staff and would try to defend against Adrien's attacks, though he was growing tired. Eventually he saw an opening and went for it, hooking his bell and tossing the bell up into the air toward Ladybug but getting caught by Adrien at the same time.

Ladybug smashed the bell, but didn't see a butterfly fly out and looked toward Chat blanc and Fantôme, seeing Chat Blanc had him pinned down with a Cataclysm inches away from his face.

Well... so much for the hostage idea...

"Ok, Ladybug... what's it going to be?"
