Adrien awoke to his phone vibrating and he quickly hit the snooze button. He rolled on his side and looked over to the window, seeing a couple of birds fly by as the sun shined through the window, piercing his green eyes. He groaned and sat up, wiping the sleep out of his eyes, and walked to the bathroom to get ready for school.
"So... how'd ya sleep?" Plagg smiled.
Adrien didn't say anything and just turned his head to look at Plagg, frowning to express his exhaustion and lack of sleep.
"Heh, slept great huh? I guess that's what you get for forgetting to lock your door." Plagg laughed.
"Oh hush Plagg." Adrien groaned.
"So... what are you going to tell Marinette?"
"I'm... not sure if I should tell her or not." He said, brushing his teeth.
"Huh? Why not!" Plagg said.
"Well... if Felix isn't going to say anything to anyone. Why tell her? It will stress her out and make her worry. She has been through a lot already as it is, we all have." Adrien sighed, leaving the bathroom to put his clothes on for the day.
"Bu-but Adrien... I don't think that's a good idea..." Plagg said.
"What do you mean? What she doesn't know won't hurt her." Adrien smiled.
"Adrien... you're just saying that because you're scared of her getting mad. Whatever, it doesn't matter to me. Up to you kid, but if I were you... I would tell her. If you don't tell her and she does find out... oof she is going to be even more mad." Plagg laughed, causing Adrien to think to himself, almost imagining the situation.
Adrien walked out of his bedroom and walked downstairs, sitting down in front of Felix to eat his breakfast. No conversation between Felix and Adrien was exchanged which was a little awkward but Adrien didn't mind. He focused on what he needed to say to Marinette. He was conflicted about whether he should say something or not. He was thankful his cousin would keep their secret and not expose them to anyone. He didn't know for how long and why he wasn't but... he was glad at the moment that he agreed to keep it.
"Come on Adrien. We're going to be late." Felix said, walking to the front door.
Adrien followed and they both went to school. Felix went into the main area of the school and went to class, avoiding their classmates in general. Adrien stayed behind, hoping to catch Marinette before she went into the classroom. Hopefully, she wouldn't be late. To his surprise though she wasn't. About 10 mins after he arrived, he saw her walking up.
"Good morning Adrien." She smiled.
"Good morning Marinette." He smiled nervously back.
"Hmmm... What's the matter." She said, seeing him acting strangely.
"You can already tell? Am I that obvious?" He said, sighing.
"Well... I do know you better than anyone else.." She smiled.
Adrien sighed, knowing Plagg was right after all. He couldn't keep that secret from her.
"We... have a problem... kinda." He said, motioning for her to follow him over to a nearby bench that was isolated.
They both sat down and he took a deep breath, preparing for a lecture.
"What's the matter?"
"Last night I got back a little late and... I didn't see him in my room-"
"Oh no- You didn't!" Marinette said.
"I'm so sorry! It was an accident!" He pleaded.
"Adrien! Does he know who you are?"
