第19章：坚持住

"Here's your water!" After pouring the water, Lin Yi returned to the dining area next to the kitchen, only to suddenly find that Chu Mengyao had already taken his previous seat and was eating his noodles.

"Hey, Yao Yao says the noodles you cooked for us are delicious!" Chen Yushu turned back, took the water glass Lin Yi handed over, and then gave him a glare, signaling him not to say anything unnecessary.

Lin Yi exited the dining area and went to his room. Dealing with this spoiled princess wasn't worth it. Compared to her, Chen Yushu might be mischievous, but at least she was easier to talk to.

Lin Yi planned to go back and organize his school bag. Although he had already self-studied the high school curriculum, he still needed to make an effort for his first day of school.

"Wow, this is so delicious! Is there more?" Mengyao finished a whole bowl of Yangchun noodles and licked her lips regretfully.

"No, want more? Ask Arrow Brother to make some for you." Chen Yushu was puzzled. How come Mengyao could eat so much but never gain weight? Every time she ate more than herself, yet she remained slimmer.

Although Chen Yushu wasn't fat either, she felt slightly plump compared to Mengyao, whose extra weight seemed to be distributed in all the right places.

"Don't mention him." Mengyao pouted. She had no intention of asking Lin Yi for anything. Dream on.

Seeing Mengyao's reaction, Chen Yushu couldn't help but roll her eyes internally. Mengyao seemed to have a thing for Lin Yi's saliva?

After finishing their noodles, the two girls went upstairs to freshen up and change clothes. Meanwhile, Lin Yi went to the dining area to tidy up the tableware. Although he didn't know, these tasks weren't necessary since the villa's cleanliness was taken care of by the housekeeping staff during the day. But Lin Yi was used to doing chores at home, so it didn't bother him.

As Lin Yi washed the dishes, Little Black, the dog, sneaked into the kitchen. Seeing Lin Yi, it stared at him with hostility, cautiously observing him. Lin Yi ignored it, not bothering with the dog's attitude. After a while, Little Black lost interest and left.

After cleaning the dishes, Lin Yi put them in the disinfection cabinet. At this moment, Mengyao and Chen Yushu had finished dressing up and changed into pretty clothes.

Although the school required students to wear uniforms, few students complied, especially high school students who had more autonomy and were less obedient.

There was an exception, Lin Yi. Feeling the fabric of the uniform, Lin Yi was genuinely pleased. The quality was excellent, much better than the few clothes he brought with him. So, for Lin Yi, this was currently his best outfit.

"Mr. Chu went to New Harbor City for a meeting and is currently on the plane," Fubao said. "Miss Chu, Mr. Chu instructed that while he's away, Lin Yi is responsible for taking care of you."

"Him?! Take care of me?" Mengyao widened her eyes. "Fubao, can't you see? How can he take care of me?"

"I'm just conveying Mr. Chu's words," Fubao replied. "Mr. Chu has great trust in Mr. Lin."

Mengyao pursed her lips. She knew Fubao was just her father's mouthpiece and wouldn't do anything against his decisions. And now her father was on a plane and couldn't take her call. Sighing inwardly, she could only bear with it for now. Let's endure this jerk for a few days. When her father returned, she would deal with it.
