Mark and the others were still in Vermilion City, but they were currently at the harbor.

The three stared at some books when Misty suddenly noticed something.

"I recognize that ship." She was pointing to a big, white ship model. "That's the S.S Anne, the largest ship in Kanto."

"It's said that the S.S Anne only stops in the region once a year." Mark added. "I would enjoy being a passenger on that."

"Just one problem." Brock broke the bad news to the two. "We can't afford to board it."

"Hmm." Mark put a hand on his chin. "I'll figure out a way to get the money we need."

He went around to ask people the best way to obtain money for passes.

After a few hours, he got nothing of value and was annoyed.

'I wonder how Brock and Misty are doing.' Mark thought to himself.

He chose to rejoin them since trying to get the passes was going nowhere.

Misty then noticed him approaching.

"Any luck?" She asked him.

"No." He sighed in disappointment. "Getting those passes is way too hard."

"You have any ideas?" Misty thought about it somewhat.

She then had a brainstorm.

"The Pokemon Fan Club might have passes." She explained.

"In that case." Mark liked the idea.

The gang then walked to the Pokemon Fan Club and Mark knocked on the door.

The Pokemon Fan Club's chairman greeted them at the door.

"How can I help you?" The chairman asked the gang.

"We're here to acquire some passes for the S.S Anne." Mark answered.

"Follow me." The chairman led the gang inside.

On a desk in the middle of the building were three strips of paper.

"Are those tickets for the S.S Anne?" Mark asked the chairman.

"Indeed." He nodded.

"Is there a catch?" Misty questioned.

"No." The chairman shook his head. "These are extra tickets I have no use for."

Mark, Misty and Brock were happy to hear that.

They took the tickets off the table.

"That was easier than expected." Brock admitted.

"Let's go." Misty squealed.

All three left the Pokemon Fan Club and went back to the harbor to board the S.S Anne.

Mark, Brock and Misty were amazed when they entered the main room of the S.S Anne. There were lots of Pokemon trainers and booths with food, accessories, clothes and games.

"This is nice." Mark whistled. "What should we do on board?"

"Let's split up." Misty suggested. "That way, we can all have fun."

"Okay." He nodded.

"Let's meet back up in a hour." Brock told them.

The gang then went in separate directions.

Mark took a good look around the ship. He walked past a stall with souvenirs. There was a Pikachu doll and he bought it.

"This is really cute." He said to himself.
