After walking through Mt. Moon, Mark, Brock and Misty made it to Cerulean City.

"This is the home of the Cascade Badge." Mark exclaimed.

"Do you know what Pokemon you'll use?" Brock asked.

"Bulbasaur and the Pikachu I caught in Viridian Forest."

Misty didn't say a word the whole time. Mark took note of this.

"Did you even want to come to Cerulean City with us?"

"No I didn't." Misty replied. "It has to do with my older siblings."

Mark already knew about her sisters, so he didn't need to ask why she wasn't interested in returning.

"We'll just go to the gym without you." He offered.

"I've got other business to address here, so I'll take you up on it." Misty accepted his offer.

The gang then went their separate ways. Mark and Brock headed to the gym while Misty did what she set out to do.

Along the way, they spotted some police officers in front of a machine shop.

"What are those police officers doing?" Mark asked.

He and Brock then went to find out.

"Officer Jenny, what's going on?" He questioned.

"A machine part disappeared from this shop." She explained.

"Where do you think that part went?"

"I have no idea." Brock admitted.

They soon reached the Cerulean Gym. It was a pink and yellow dome with a Dewgong on it.

"I'm going to get some more supplies." Brock told Mark.

"Have fun." Mark shrugged his shoulders.

He then entered the building.

"Where is everybody?" He asked out loud.

There was no one in the gym's lobby.

Then what sounded like cheering came from beyond the lobby. He passed through the lobby doors and saw the reason for the cheers. A water ballet was taking place in a giant swimming pool.

"The other three Sensational Sisters." Mark said, with his arms folded across his chest.

When the water ballet was over, Mark went over to the gym leaders.

"That was a great dive."

"Well, practice does make perfect."

"I think that was our best show so far."

"Hello." Mark called out to them.

"If you came for a autograph, we don't sign them."

"I'm not here for a autograph." Mark replied. "I'm here to obtain the Cascade Badge."

The three women looked at each other.

"Sorry, but we don't battle anymore."

"Pardon?" Mark asked with a raised eyebrow.

"We lost three battles in a row." One of the women released a Goldeen. "This is our only remaining Pokemon, a baby Goldeen. It's not ready to battle yet."

"Now we prioritize our water ballets." She said. "We know exactly what brought you here. Come on out, Seel."

A white sea lion emerged from the pool.
