Before arriving in Viridian City, Mark noticed a blue-haired police officer standing at the entrance outside the city.
"That's Officer Jenny, a police officer located throughout Kanto." Mark approached the entrance.
"Hold it right there!" Officer Jenny shouted. "Why's that Bulbasaur not in it's Poke Ball."
"I'll take care of that issue later." He answered and then went on his way.
Mark then entered the Poke Mart to purchase some supplies.
After that, he walked into the Pokemon Center to spend the night there because it was too dark outside.
"Are there any rooms available?" Mark questioned out loud.
He went to ask Nurse Joy about that when he spotted Misty enter the Pokemon Center.
"Sup."
"I see you managed to get here safely." Misty said.
"You did too apparently." Mark replied. "What sounds good for dinner?"
Mark and Misty then had their dinner.
"Do you want to get out of your sister's shadows?" He suddenly asked.
Misty was surprised by his question.
"What compelled you to ask that?"
"Well, you said that you didn't get along with your sisters, so I figured that you weren't keen on being stuck in their shadows." He explained.
When they finished dinner, Mark and Misty prepared to head their separate ways.
"Say...would you mind if we traveled together?" Misty whispered.
"I don't see a problem with it." He and Misty then went to bed.
After getting a good night's sleep, Mark and Misty left the Pokemon Center.
The two agree to travel across the region.
