Nyx has her head in her hands as Carlisle and Edward continue to try and find some idea on what happened and how. The Cullens have kept Bella away from he since the incident a few days ago. Edward turned to her and kneeled to come face to face with the girl. "Nyxie, look at me, dear." She looks up at his eyes. "Obviously something happened but your eyes are still their beautiful green-blue like they always are." He rubs her cheeks with his thumbs. "So it couldn't have turned you fully. Carlisle noticed your blood still moving just not as fast as a normal human. It means you're still human, dear."

She nods before pouting and looking up at his gold eyes. "Do you still love me?" He smiled and kissed her head. He mumbled on her head 'of course I do. I'll never stop loving you no matter what happens, my dear' She hears a voice in her head let out a whisper. 'He's telling you the truth.' She looks around and doesn't see Edward or Carlisle react. "Did you hear that?" she asks the mind reader.

"No. Hear what dear?" Edward asks, hands still holding her face. 'He's telling you the truth.'

"That. It's like a whisper." she looked between the two. She looks at Carlisle. "I need to test something. I need you to lie to me." Carlisle looks at Edward confused. "Are you human?"

"Yes?" Carlisle questions. 'He's telling you a lie.'

"It worked." The vampires look at the witch with confusion. "I think it's telling me if you tell the truth or not..." She looks up at Edward with a wide smile on her face. "When you said you'll never stop loving me it said you're telling the truth. I had Carlisle lie and it said he told a lie." Nyx smiles at Edward.

"Really?" Nyx nodded. "Did you notice it before or just now?" Edward asks.

"Just now. I might have just been blocking it out before but I've never learned any spell that would do that."

"Well just think it could come in handy." He kissed her forehead. "Right now. We have to get to school."

"You haven't been tempted by any type of blood and have been keeping down the food that Esme brings you." Carlisle explained. "If you do need to get away just tell Edward or one of the others."

"Thank you for keeping me safe Carlisle. I  don't know what I'd do without you all." She smiled at the doctor then at Edward. "Ready to go?" Edward laughed at his wide eyed mate.

"You just have to get changed. You're still in pajamas." He holds out a stack of clothes (Clothes above, Alice folded them in a way you can't see the Chicago). "Their Alice's. Alice wants to get you a new wardrobe. Said something about you should have clothes that fit you. She wouldn't let me look at them."

Nyx grabs the stack with a smile. She pulls him down to kiss his cheek. "I'm going to change!" She walks out leaving a stunted Edward letting out a soft 'I'm never going to get used to her being that strong now.' Followed closely by the whisper in her head saying 'He's telling you the truth.' Nyx giggled.

She changed in the bathroom after brushing her teeth. She pulled on the sweatshirt that says 'Chicago' and ripped jeans. The jeans fit her nicely a little long but the sweatshirt was definitely too big. "Even Alice's clothes are too big." She mumbled before cuffing the jeans and sweatshirt sleeves. She walks out seeing Esme, Carlisle and Edward talking. She hears the other Cullens outside. She hugs Edward from behind and he turns around to see her smiling before leaning her back to look at the sweatshirt. He laughs softly. "What?"

"That's mine." 'He's telling you the truth.' "I got it when I went to college in Chicago a few years ago. You look good in it." She smiled.
