Nyx hears a knock on the door. She walks down and sees Bella and Charlie in the kitchen, Charlie is holding his rifles Bella makes her way to the door. She opens the door to reveal Clifford and Edward. Clifford raised his gloved hand to Charlie, "Hi Mr Swan. Thanks for allowing us to take the girls tonight."

Edward smiles at the police chief, "Chief Swan. How are you doing tonight? We promise not to keep them too long. We're just going to go play baseball with our family."

Charlie chuckles, Bella's shocked and Nyx looks at Edward excited before he winks at her. "Bella's going to play baseball?"

Clifford nods, "Yep. I'm going to teach her."

After exiting the house Edward is quick to pull Nyx towards a modern truck and Clifford and Bella go to a giant Jeep. Nyx looks at Edward as he helps her into the truck. "Why aren't we going with Bella and Clifford?"

"Jasper wanted me to move his truck. Normally he only takes his bike so the truck was sitting for too long. And it doesn't have enough room."

Nyx picks up a cap that was on the seat. Edward notices and takes it from her hands before placing it on her head. Nyx giggles, "So I guess I owe you a quidditch match?" Edward smiles, grabbing her hand and kisses it as he's driving.

"I do believe that was the deal, my love." Storm clouds gather in the sky as Nyx and Edward pull up in the truck. Nyx sees four mats set up in a diamond pattern, set into an enormous field in the lap of the Olympic peaks. Clifford and Bella are already there. Edward hears Esme as about Bella being an umpire.

Nyx hears Emmett shout out, "She thinks we cheat." Emmett notices Nyx and his grin widens, "Hey shortstack." Nyx waves at Emmett and Rose.

"Nyx, do you want to help Bella with being an umpire?" Esme asks kindly

Nyx looks at Emse with an awkward smile and turns and looks at Edward who laughs lightly. Everyone looks at the two questions. "Nyx doesn't know what an umpire is. The umpire is the person charged with officiating the game, enforcing the rules of the game and the grounds, and making judgment calls on plays."

"Thanks." She turns to Esme, "I would like to watch if that's alright with you. I've never seen it before."

She hears Bella scoffs at the girl. "You've never seen baseball? I get that you're from England but they still have baseball." Bella walks away with Clifford. Nyx looks down upset as her cousin has never talked to her like that ever.

"Of course you can watch. We're just happy you're here, Nyx." Nyx sees behind Esme, Clifford gets talked to by both Rosalie and Jasper. She isn't able to hear what they are saying but can tell by their faces it's not good.

Emmett waves at them to get into position. Edward kisses the side of Nyx's head and runs to Emmett. Nyx sits on the ground a bit away from the base. Lighting and thunder crash. Alice pitches with lightning-fast speed. Clifford is on the second base, Edward and Emmett take positions in the field. Rosalie smashes the ball with the aluminum bat. It cracks like thunder -- and is followed directly by the natural sound. "Woah!" Edward saw Nyx's awed faces and smiles before the ball shot into the forest past his head, rocketing through the trees. Edward disappears after it. Nyx stood and walked towards Carlisle who was waiting with a bat. "It disappeared!"

Carlisle smiled at the girl, "Edward's very fast. And competitive."

Rosalie darts around the bases, almost in a blur. Edward races out of the forest with the ball and throws it to home plate. Esme catches it a millisecond before Rosalie slides in.
