"I love weddings!" He slurred.

"Thank you, I feel like a princess as cliché as it sounds."
"You look like one." Steve assured. "Bruce is a lucky man."

"I have called, texted- I know technology is still weird for you but-"
"I just didnt know what to say" Steve admitted.
"Hey I'm here and alive would be a start." Alisha answered.
"Excuse me, i need to steal my wife. I love saying that." Bruce remarked happily as he pulled Alisha into his arms. Steve saw the happiness all around him and he felt a wave of sorrow rush over him. Alisha looked around and thought about how much fun Peter would have had. She wanted him here too. She wanted them all here to celebrate but odds are if they were all here her wedding would be interrupted by aliens invading from an unheard of planet.

Depression is a funny thing. Not literally. You can get the highs in life but the lows get lower. You have good days and bad days. You might even go a long stretch of time without that overwhelming feeling of hate or grief or pain or... sadness. A sadness so strong it immobilizes you.
"Hey Steve. Still doing support groups?" Alisha questioned.
"You thinking of Peter?"
"Thinking of you." Alisha countered. "I know its weird considering I'm a married woman." She mused. "You making friends?"
"We are all still having a hard time moving on."
"You should be used to this, losing everyone, that's why you are their spokes person I suppose."
"What do you want Alisha?"
"You ran off before the cake was served at my wedding for starters, that was rude." Alisha answered. "And it was good cake you were missing out."
"I'm sorry." Steve answered. "Its just..."
"Everyone being so happy and forgetting all the pain and loss made you think of the loss of everyone and you couldnt enjoy being happy for one night?" Alisha pondered. Steve shrugged. "You can't keep living in the past."
"I'm not." Steve assured.
"You are the man out of time, Steve." Alisha corrected when her watch vibrated. She peered down at it.
"I love that you are trying to help people and move on but avoiding your friends, your family-"
"I dont have any family."
"Peter was not my blood." Alisha cut in. "But that boy was family to me." Alisha assured. "You are family too. Avengers Steve. We are family."
"There are no avengers."
"There is still evil in the world." Alisha corrected. "Nat and Clint are out fighting them. Rocket too. I know they have head quarters up and functional. I know you go there to mope."
"I dont mope." Steve grumbled.
"I have to go." Alisha tapped her watch. "But you should come around more Steve. It will do well for your healing to be around friends. If you disappear while you are here you might as well have been blipped away too."
Honeymoon bliss ended with Alisha in the lap and Tony bugging her about trouble in paradise already? She rolled her eyes staring down a vial. She did it. She actually did it.
"Take a pill. It helps." Tony offered popping something in his mouth. Alisha stared back at him.

"Better than pills. You know I cant swallow that shit."
"Tomy i got the sperm separated from the hulk dna." Alisha whispered.
"Gross." Tony countered.
"You know I want kids. Then losing Peter made me think what if another giant purple monster comes and steals our baby away just like he did with Peter our world is not safe who am I to bring a child into all this madness?"
Alisha hadnt told bruce the good news because the more she thought about it the more she remembered all the pain and seeing Steve reminded her even more so how their lives had changed for the worse for a while. Who was she to bring a child into this messed up world?
"You would protect that baby with your life . You can't just think about the dangers you had to think about all the good. So I want you to do an implant of that Hulk free sperm. And get yourself a baby."
