'Huh?'
Ichor is a bit surprised when a pop-up about a new quest appears out of nowhere. But he soon regains his thought and checks it out.
Ding!

[New Tenants]: Confirm the occupations of rooms 2,3 and 4, along with doing an identity check on all of them.
Reward: A new [Quest] related to the tenants.

'Tenants? Wait, there are people coming to live in the other rooms now?'
While it is odd, this thought of his is justified when one actually knows the contexts behind it.
You see, when Ichor got ownership of the building he is living in right now, he found out that there was no one else living there at all. The building had simply been playing around with the lights in the empty rooms, making it seem like there were at least a few occupied rooms there.
As for why it takes this long for him to find it out? It's because he doesn't like to just walk up to a room and start a conversation out of nowhere, and his timetable for the work at the Clinic makes him wake up earlier and come back home later than most people anyway.
And during the day that he doesn't have to work, he's either at the forest harassing some poor monsters there or recharging his social battery through being a shut-in. In the end, he just ends up not having many chances to possibly interact with anyone here, so it just slipped through the cracks.
'Well, guess I can now make some money from the building then.'
Since it is a residential building, there is naturally a rent for living in there. The exact cost of the rent is 1000 credits per month, which is fairly cheap when thinking about the accommodations that the room has and that it also covers the potential repair on it.
It's still a bit more on the expensive side though, as most working-class people in this city would make only around 100 credits per day, with 50 credits being for food alone. So if one wants to live here then they must save around 20 work days worth of credit to pay for the rent.
'Whatever comes, will come then. Not like I can see the future anyway. And I can just wait until Crimson finishes her evolution before doing anything else later.'
Right now, Crimson is hiding inside [Armory] for the time being. He was going to put her into [Entrapment Tablet] so that her evolution would be a whole lot faster, but it seems that she has a really bad case of separation issue during her evolution, and would not even try to separate herself from him.
It takes a lot of coaxing and learning to push the right buttons at the right time, but he eventually got her to just be inside the small hill on the third floor for now. But he might have to renovate the space inside the tablet eventually since the time dilation ability is just too much to ignore.
'We're close now.'
He puts away the thought as soon as he sees the Clinic in the distance. Once they reach it, they all enter it before going to a certain room that Ichor has a clear memory of from before.
'Isn't this the room where I got interviewed a month ago?'
"Do take a seat, kid."
Ichor accepts Sam's gesture and takes the same seat as back then, with Sam and Lily being on the other side. But this time, they are a lot warmer and more familiar to him than how it was back then.
Surprisingly, Mike chose not to enter the room with them. It seems that he either already knew what's it all about, or that he didn't think it was his place to barge in randomly.
