'Thank god smart people like to think into the parallel universe for an answer.'

While Ichor is sighing in his mind, Crimson suddenly sends out a thought to him,

'But Blood don't trust God?'

Crimson's thought confused Ichor for a bit.

'Trust?... Oh, you meant believe?

'Yeah! Blood don't believe God?'

Ichor smiled slightly at the question.

'I'm not an atheist, Crimson. I just have a flexible relationship with them.'

'... But Blood is single?'

'You have every right to be silent. Use it well, Crimson.'

'Yes?'

Ichor sighed before turning back and continuing to stay behind Lily.

"... Why are you behind me?"

"You're the person who has been dealing with them longer than me. I would like to use your abilities in that regard for my survival."

"I guess I can do that... But you owe me a question."

"As long as it's not a problematic one, then I will answer it."

Lily quickly makes a thumb-up at Ichor's answer.

"Deal. Now, this is what you should do..."

After that, Lily starts to rant about how most of the conversations went for both of them, how to get away from it, and how to not get caught in their verbal traps.

It was mostly in whispering since disrespecting a priestess is not really something that someone should do when they are literally surrounded by people from the Church.

It did seem that all the paladins could hear her clearly as day, but they turned a blind eye to it since the living proof of these speeches was appearing near them right now.

This went on for a while, long enough that by the time Lily finished the rant, the entire group was now just a few minutes away from the Beginner Forest.

"... And that's how you deal with them, got it?"

"Yeah, I got you."

Seeing that Lily had finished her things, Ichor quickly changed the subject into something that he might need to know right now.

"Anyway, Lumi's not your usual priestess, is she?"

"Not really. While there are a lot of priests and priestesses in the Church itself, Lumi is still unique in that regard since she's the Holy Priestess of the Church."

"Holy Priestess?"

"Yeah, she's one of the candidates for becoming the successor of the current Pope."

"... No wonder she can casually mobilize the knights and paladins here."

Lumi nodded at Ichor's statement.

"Well, the current Pope also owes Dad a favor since he had healed an injury that the Pope got during his latest fight with the demon king."

"Apparently, that's also when he met the holy priestess. He's not only the person who taught her healing magic, but also many magics and tactics that he had learned during his days as a mage for the Diabolo family.

"But it seemed that they are simply incompatible with each other though, as they will casually escalate the conversation into an argument at any chance they got."
