A Little Scare

Nico pov:
I get woken up to Will saying, "Hey Nico, I have to leave for work in a little bit. If you want you can go sleep in my bed."

I was so tired; I just got up and walked to his bed. I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.

I hear a knock on Will's bedroom door. I assume it's just Will so I try to go back to sleep. He opens the door and walks inside.

"Will! Wake up! You never sleep this late," and that was most definitely not Will. I didn't know what to do I was frozen. "Come on get up!"

So I sat up to see who it was. I didn't know what else to do. "AHH!! You're not Will!" says Will's friend. I know I met her but I can't remember her name.

"Uh yeah. Not Will," I say not knowing what else to say.

"Gosh Nico you scared me I didn't know you were here. Where's Will?" she says but I still don't know her name.

"He went to work early this morning. I think he'll be home soon," I say. And now that I am fully awake I realize it's kinda weird I'm still at his house when he's not.

"Oh well do y'all have plans today or can I stay?" she asks. I don't know what to say because this is Will's house, not mine.

"Uh you can stay. I don't think we have plans other than Will giving me a ride back home," I say truthfully.

"Ok, I guess I'll go sit in the living room while I wait for him," she says with a shrug. I want to know how she even got in. I mean I guess she has a key or she's just really good a picking locks.

I sit in bed for a while longer before I decide to get up. Since she is here the least I can do is offer breakfast. So I walk into the kitchen to see what Will has and thankfully he has pancake mix.

"Um I'm really sorry but I forgot your name," I start by saying, "I know we met I just forgot. And I was wondering if you already ate breakfast?"

She looks surprised I'm talking to her, "My name's Kayla and no I haven't had breakfast yet, why?"

"I was going to make pancakes. Does that sound good? I can make regular, chocolate chip, or blueberry."

"Can I just have regular? That sounds really good right now," says the girl I now know as Kayla.

I nod, "what kind do you think Will wants?"

"Probably blueberry, he likes fruity stuff more than chocolate," she says.

I walk back into the kitchen and start making the pancakes. Regular for Kayla, chocolate chip for me, and blueberry with Will. I'm almost done with the blueberry ones when Will walks in the door.

"Nico! I'm home!" he says taking of his shoes. "What's that delicious smell?" he says walking into the kitchen.

"Pancakes," I say with a smile. I was about to tell him Kayla was here but she walks into the kitchen before I could.

"Kayla? What are you doing here?" Will asks looking confused.

"I came to surprise you with a hang out and instead I got surprised when it was your boyfriend in bed and not you," she says.

"Oh well, are you joining us for breakfast?" he asks with a smile. She nods and takes a seat at the table. I set her plate down in front of her.

Then, I hand Will his plate. "Thanks Nico, they look delicious!" he says.

I go to clean up the kitchen a little before I sit to eat but of course Will won't let me.

"Nico, come sit. I'll help clean up later," he says with a smile. And boy, oh boy, I can't resist that smile cause he's just gorgeous.

I sit with them at the table and we eat in silence. I hope that means the food is good. People always tell me it's good but what if one day I make a mistake and it's not. I would be really upset because I love to cook.

I get broken out of my thoughts by Kayla, "This is really good, Nico! Thanks for making me some."

"Oh it's no problem," I say with a smile. I'm telling the truth though, it wasn't a problem. Pancakes are super easy to make.

Will is just sitting there with a huge smile on his face and an empty plate. I'm gonna assume he liked it.

"Anyways, Will," says Kayla, "I was wondering if you and Nico had plans or if we could hang out today for a bit?"

Will looks at me before shrugging, "We can hangout, I just need to take Nico home."

"Well then how about I ride with y'all on the way to his house and then we go do something?"

I nod my head and say, "That sounds good to me. I'm going to go get changed."

Seeing I was still in pajamas and it was pretty late. I put on my The Cure sweatshirt and a pair of black jeans.

When I get back to the living room, Will walks to his room and changes out of his scrubs. He walks out in khaki shorts, a white hoodie, and a blue flannel over top. He looks cute in flannel.

After we are ready, Kayla walks a little in front of us on the way to Will's truck. We are holding hands because she thinks we're a real couple. I wish we were a real couple but I don't think Will does. Since she's a little in front of us, Will leans down to whisper to me.

"Nico is it alright if I kiss you before you get out of the truck," he says. I blush immediately and it was definitely noticeable.

"Uh, yeah, that's fine," I whisper back.

Once we are at the truck, Kayla climbs in the back and I get passenger. While, Will obviously drives. He starts playing his playlist and then pulls out of the garage. We pull into the parking lot of my apartment building.

"Bye! I'll see you later," says Will with a smile. He gives me a look be fore leaning into kiss me. It's a quick one because of Kayla but it still was amazing. I wish I could kiss Will all the time.

"Bye, sunshine!" I say with the biggest smile on my face. I hop out of his car and walk up to my apartment.

Since it took me so long to do the last chapter I wrote this one and decided to publish it now. It's kinda a filler but I figured it was still cute. Anyways point out mistakes or comment ideas you have!
