Gay Chicken

Dinner time!!

Nico POV:
I woke up from our nap before Will. I wanted to look around his room but I didn't want to snoop too much so I decided to just lay in bed until he woke up.

I like Will a lot, in a relationship way, but I don't think he likes me back. It really sucks though because after meeting his parents it made it seem real for a minute.

Knock, knock!

I'm broken out of my thoughts by a knock on the door. "Come in!" I shout quietly so I don't wake up Will.

Will's dad pops his head in the crack of the door. "I just wanted to let you know dinner will be ready in five minutes."

"Oh ok, thank you. I'll wake Will up and we'll be down," I say with a smile. His dad shuts the door and I can hear him walk back down the stairs.

"Will," I say shaking him, "Wake up!"

He groans and rolls over which happens to be on top of me. "I'm tired."

"Well dinners ready so to bad," I try to push him off me.

"Fine," he says stretching the e. He rolls off of me and gets out of bed. I stand up next to him and we both stretch. Will grabs my hand and leads me to the dining room.

"Hey Will, Nico," Naomi says as we take a seat at the table, "Austin isn't joining us for dinner but he will be back tonight."

"Ok, I'm excited to see him. It's been a little while," Will says starting to help himself to the food on the table.

I just sit there waiting for everyone to get their food before I get mine. I want to make sure everyone has enough food.

"Don't be shy Nico! Help yourself," Apollo says gesturing towards the food. I nod my head and start to get a little bit of everything.

"Um, Will could you-" I cut myself off realizing I can't remember the word I wanted.

"Pass you what?"

"Pass me the thing," I say trying to think of the word.

"What thing?" He says confused.

"The piselli e carote. Or the Erbsen und Karotten. Oh my, I can't think of the English word," I say frustrated. "The round green things and the orange squares."

Will laughs, "Peas and Carrots?"

"Yes! That's it! I knew it in everything but English for some reason," I say shaking my head. Will and his parents look at me with slight amusement.

"Do you speak a lot of languages?" asks Will's mom.

I blush, "I speak 9 languages fluently and am currently learning 2 more."

Their eyes widen, "Oh wow!" says Will's dad.

We continue to make conversation for the rest of dinner. It wasn't awkward like I thought it would be. I guess that's where Will gets his conversation skills.

This sucks. I have accepted that I like Will, in more than a friend way. But I can't be with him because he doesn't like me. I'm upset that we're gonna break up soon but I just have to make the best out of it.

"Nico?" Will said breaking me out of my thoughts, "You okay? You're staring at your plate pretty hard."

"Hmm yeah, I'm fine. Just thinking, sorry."

"You're fine but I'm gonna take your plate and then I have something planned for us," he says collecting the dishes.

I don't want to crowd the kitchen so I sit and wait for him to come back. He comes back and calls out to his mom that we'll be back.

"Where are we going?" I ask curiously.

He takes my hand and leads me to a truck like machine, "Get in and you'll find out."

"Ok," I say hesitantly getting in beside him. "What is this thing?"

"It's a side-by-side," he says like it's obviously. I just hum and nod my head.

He starts driving through a field and then through some trees. He finally stops 4 minutes later. I look up to see a gorgeous pond.

I gasp, "It's wonderful."

"I know right but this isn't the best part," he puts the vehicle back in gear. At first I'm disappointed thinking we're going to leave but I find out he's just turning the car around.

He gets out of the side-by-side, "Come on."

He gets in the truck bed and I hop up there with him. He pulls out a blanket and covers our legs. The sun starts to set over the pond.

I stare at the sky in wonder. I look over to Will to see he's already looking at me. I blush and look back to the sky but I notice he's blushing too.

He wraps his arm around my shoulders and I lean my head on his shoulder. What could be better than this?

Hey lovelies!!
I locked in and wrote this chapter cause someone commented about it. I would go look for who it is but if I exit rn I know I'll forget to post this. Anyway I've been on the road for the last 2 and a half weeks and tomorrow we start the 3 day drive home. I'm excited to be home but I love where I am rn. Also I got my school schedule today!! I love school sm actually, I like the social part tho and the work is ok. Unless it's my technical school work, then it's the best ever! I have a few friends in my classes but I haven't seen all of my friend's schedules yet. Ok this was a long yap session so I'm gonna end it here. Sorry it's short. I have big plans for next chapter tho.
