"Wanna grab dinner?" Dallas asked as twilight settled in. I nestled closer to his side. "I mean, I'd rather stay in bed with you but I'm hungry..." I murmured. Dallas chuckled softly. "How does sushi sound to you?" he asked, amused. "I'd love sushi," I replied, sitting up, "just let me get ready. I look like a homeless person."
"I think you look beautiful," Dallas responded. My knees went weak, and I quickly sat at the vanity to steady myself. "Stop it!" I said, rummaging through the messy drawer until I found my concealer. "What?" Dallas asked, amused. Our eyes met through the mirror. "You're making me go crazy," I grumbled. Dallas laughed heartily. "Well, sorry I didn't know I had such an influence on you," he said.
"Oh, don't play me. You know it. I remember every word I said to you yesterday, and I tend to overshare when I'm drunk," I grumbled. I applied some makeup to look less like a corpse and brushed my hair. "You are indeed very talkative," Dallas smirked, "it's cute." I rolled my eyes but couldn't help but smile.

Shortly after, we were on our way out, heading to my favorite sushi spot. Dallas casually reached for my hand. It fit perfectly in his, as if they were made for each other. We ate in peace before strolling through one of the small parks in the area. A street musician was playing a soft tune on his guitar. Dallas stopped. Confused, I looked at him. "What's wrong?" I asked. "Wanna dance?" he asked, grinning. "Here?" I asked amused, looking around. It was relatively empty, given the time of day, but a few people were still sitting on the surrounding benches. "Come on, don't be shy," he pulled me towards him and placed his hands on my hips. I giggled. "You can be so cheesy," I murmured as I wrapped my arms around his neck, and he began to sway me gently to the music. I rested my head on his chest and smiled to myself. "I know you love my cheesy side," he said amused. "I love everything about you," I said, not fully realizing what I had just said. Dallas tensed for a moment, and it hit me. Wow. Just wow. Why would I say something like this? I'm so stupid! I looked up at him to see his reaction. He was smiling like I had never seen him smile before. He stopped moving us to the music and just looked down at me. "I love everything about you too," he whispered. I could feel his breath on my face. My hands started shaking. Dallas looked down at my lips. My breath caught as he leaned in closer. Our noses lightly touched, and I closed my eyes. Moments later, he pressed his lips to mine. The kiss was gentle, as if he was afraid I would break. His hands pulled me closer to him. I clung to him to find some stability. My knees weren't working as they should. Fireworks exploded within me. Our lips moved in perfect harmony. It was as if they were made for each other. To my disappointment, Dallas slowly pulled away from me. He rested his forehead against mine and began to sway us gently to the music again. "You have no idea for how long I wanted to do this," he finally said. "You should have done it earlier," I whispered, making him chuckle. "Well, now I won't stop doing it," he whispered before lowering his lips to mine again. Everything was perfect for now.
