Fírnen had grown the size of two bulls if standing tail to head and was ready to try flying. She would help if needed but he was ready and determined to get off the ground and into the air. He bent his legs, crouched, and jumped. Fírnen flapped his wings and took to the skies. Fírnen and Arya practiced everyday for a month until Arya finally decided to talk to Eragon about all the recent events. She wondered what the best way to deliver her message without anyone else seeing it would be. She decided by making a grass boat with three masts on top and tying her message to one of the mast posts. Then she exclaimed,"audr" or up in the ancient language, casting a spell that drew energy from the grass below the boat, then the boat would float on course to Eragon. The message read,"Eragon, we finally decided upon a leader, and I am on my way to Ilirea to arrange an introduction with Nasuada. I would like to talk with you and Saphira first. This message should reach you four days before the half moon. If you would, meet me the day after you receive it, at the eastern point of the Ramr river. Come alone, and do not tell anyone else where you are going." She watched as the grass boat became tiny in the distance and went to sleep with Fírnen.
