Alkín carried the large red egg in his hands. Queen Arya had assigned him to delivering the egg to the urgals. He planned to give the egg to the urgal king. He had reached the village where the king lived and was now in the king's hall. He was walking to the big doors of the king's quarters when he bumped into a young urgal woman by the name of Ilgra. She was the king's daughter, and about sixteen years of age. The egg began to crack open and then a red dragon with white lines on his body appeared. The dragon was female and was big for a youngster, for it had come from a big egg. Ilgra reached her hand out to the hatchling and stroked it on its neck. As she touched it a silver mark formed on her left hand. The gedwëy ignasia. The king burst out into the hallway and began to ask what was going on, but stopped when he saw his daughter with the gedwëy ignasia on her palm and the red hatchling at her feet. Happy tears began pouring out from the king's eyes and he said,"Oh Ilgra." He thanked Alkín. And Ilgra smiled and said to the hatchling," I will call you Ruby."
