Bakugo's internal conflict throws him into a confused silence. Midoriya, reeling from the unexpected kiss and Bakugo's sudden reaction, worries he's overstepped. The atmosphere crackles with unspoken tension that threatens to shatter the fragile connection they've built.
Unable to hear silence any longer, Midoriya confronts Bakugo. "Is everything alright, Kacchan?" he asks, using the childhood nickname that slips out without him even noticing. Bakugo flinches at the familiar address, a flurry of emotions swirling in him. He can't deny the spark he felt during the kiss, yet the memories of their rivalry gnaw at him. "Why'd you call me that,Deku" he snaps, his voice laced with irritation that masks his inner turmoil.
The use of their old hero names hangs heavy in the air, a stark reminder of the past they can't seem to escape. Midoriya's smile falters, replaced by a look of hurt confusion. The realization of his own actions hits Bakugo. He hadn't meant to lash out, the bitterness of their past going through his present. Shamefaced, he looks away. Seeing Bakugo's struggle, Midoriya softens. "Maybe you need some time alone," he says gently.
Bakugo grunts in response, the weight of his past actions pressing down on him. He watches Midoriya walk away, a pang of loneliness replacing the anger. Later that night, Bakugo seeks out recovery therapist, Ms. Joke. Hesitantly, he confesses his jumbled memories and newfound feelings for Midoriya. Ms. Joke, a seasoned pro with a kind heart, listens patiently. "Memories, even forgotten ones, can influence us," she explains. "But they don't define who you are now. You get to choose how you move forward."
Her words spark a flicker of hope in Bakugo. He realizes his past rivalry doesn't have to choose his future with Midoriya. The next day, Bakugo finds Midoriya training alone. Using his courage, he approaches him. "Hey," he says roughly, "Let's talk."
Bakugo's gruff invitation hangs heavy in the air. Midoriya, surprised by the sudden change, hesitates for a moment before nodding. They walk side-by-side in an awkward silence, the weight of their amnesia and newfound feelings swirling between them. Finally, Bakugo breaks the silence. "Listen, Deku," he starts, using the old nickname instinctively before quickly correcting himself, "Midoriya. About the other night..." He trails off, struggling to voice the jumbled mess of emotions churning inside him. Midoriya senses his internal conflict and offers a gentle smile.
"It's okay, Kacchan," he says, using Bakugo's childhood nickname in return. The familiarity seems to ease the tension a bit.Bakugo glances at him, surprised by the nickname. A faint blush creeps across his cheeks. He clears his throat and continues, "Those memories... they came back to me." A wave of emotions washes over Midoriya's face – curiosity, and a bit of hope. "What do you remember?" he asks cautiously. Bakugo clenches his fists.
He remembers their childhood fights, their unwavering rivalry at U.A., and the constant friction that defined their relationship. But Amidist those memories, a new one surfaces – the warmth of Midoriya's lips against his own under the fireworks display. "Everything," he mutters, the words laced with shame.

But Bakugo surprises him again. "But..." he continues hesitantly, "there's also..." He trails off, unable to articulate the confusing mix of emotions roiling within him.
Seeing his struggle, Midoriya decides to take a chance. "Kacchan," he starts, his voice soft but firm, "since we lost our memories, we've gotten to know each other in a new way. Maybe those memories don't have to define our future."
Bakugo looks at him, surprised by his courage. He contemplates Midoriya's words, a flicker of hope battling with the ingrained resentment of their past.
