The fluorescent lights of the dorm buzzed overhead, casting a sterile glow over the frantic activity. Izuku scurried around, shoving capture gear into his utility belt, his mind still reeling from their conversation about the shared dream. Beside him, Bakugou packed with his usual explosive efficiency, a tense silence hanging heavy between them.

A soft cough cut through the tension. Izuku whirled around, his heart leaping into his throat. Standing by the doorway, shrouded in an ethereal luminescence, was a woman with gentle eyes and a familiar smile. Her face, etched with kindness, triggered a flood of memories - story time on the living room rug, scraped knees soothed by gentle hands, a calming voice singing him to sleep.

"Midoriya," her voice echoed faintly, only reaching Izuku's ears. It was a voice he hadn't heard in years, yet one that resonated deep within him. "Don't you recognize your old babysitter, Ms. Shimura?" Confusion clouded Bakugou's face. "Who are you talking to, Deku?" he growled, his hand instinctively reaching for a non-existent explosion grenade.
Panic surged through Izuku.

He couldn't reveal the truth about Nana, not yet. Thinking fast, he stammered, "J-just talking to myself, Kacchan. Gotta strategize for the mission, you know?"
A flicker of suspicion crossed Bakugou's crimson eyes, but he didn't press the issue, focusing on his own preparations. Relief washed over Izuku, momentarily dampened by the weight of his secret.
Nana, unseen by Bakugou, chuckled softly, a sound like wind chimes dancing on a gentle breeze.

"There's no time for elaborate explanations right now, Izuku," she said, her voice filled with a hint of sadness. "But I'm here to help. The reason I'm here is because of the villain. The quirk they wield... it worries me deeply." Before Bakugou's impatience could bubble over, Izuku rushed in, "Nana says the villain's quirk... it reminds her of something she faced before." He stole a glance at Bakugou, searching for a way to phrase the next part without revealing their dream.

"She thinks... she thinks the key to defeating them might be... well, focusing on our teamwork," Izuku blurted out, hoping it wouldn't sound too suspicious.
Bakugou scoffed. "Our teamwork? Don't get ahead of yourself, Deku. We're partners, that's all. There's no magical friendship power here." Despite the gruffness, Izuku saw a flicker of something else in Bakugou's eyes - a hint of begrudging agreement.

Nana, silent but ever-present, offered a silent nod of encouragement from her spectral corner. "Izuku, trust your instincts," Nana's voice echoed faintly in his mind. "The connection you share with Katsuki... it's stronger than you think. Use it. Together." The words reverberated within him, a beacon in the sea of confusion. He looked at Bakugou, determined to bridge the gap between them, both literally and metaphorically.
"Alright, Kacchan," Izuku said, his voice firm. "Let's go stop this villain. Together."

Bakugou didn't respond verbally, but a grudging nod spoke volumes. They headed towards the designated meeting point, an uneasy alliance bolstered by a ghostly presence and the glimmer of a connection waiting to be explored. The city lights blurred as they navigated the bustling streets, the weight of Nana's message settling in Izuku's gut.

He knew he couldn't keep her a secret forever, but how could he explain a ghostly grandmother, especially one connected to their bizarre shared dream? For now, he focused on the mission, desperately searching for a way to use their bond, however unconventional, against the villain.

As they neared their destination, Nana's voice whispered in his ear, "The villain will likely target your memories, Izuku. Be strong, hold onto your core memories, the ones that define you. And remember, the connection you share with Katsuki... it's a weapon in itself." Izuku glanced at Bakugou, who seemed oblivious to their spectral passenger. A spark of determination ignited within him.

He may not understand the full extent of Nana's presence, but together, they would stop the villain. And maybe, just maybe, along the way, he could unravel the mystery of his ghostly grandmother and the connection that bound him to Bakugou in a way they never expected.
