Riley woke up with Liam's arms carefully draped over her when they heard a knock on the door. The both of them shifted away from each other, planning on ignoring the knock, but it came one more time.
"Just leave it" Riley said quietly pulling the covers on her more when Liam got up from bed.
"We have to leave soon anyways" Liam said, grabbing a shirt from his bag and tossing it on. Riley sat up tiredly, taking the hair tie that was around her wrist and pulling her hair up and away from her face. She grabbed the pair of sweats that he passed her, and slid them on when she got up, following him to the door with her clothes from last night and journal in hand.
"I'll swing by your room to grab you in like a hour" He told her with his hand resting low on her back while they walked to the front door.
"Okay" Riley said sweetly when he pressed a small kiss to her cheek. Liam opened the door for her, both to let her out and see who was knocking, just to be shocked when Max was outside. The both of them stopped moving for a second, feeling the energy in the air freeze when Max saw Riley standing inside the room with Liam's clothes on and his hand on her back.
"Hey mate" Liam said to Max, opening the door more so Riley could slide out.
"I just wanted to congratulate you on points" Riley heard Max say when she walked past him, feeling his eyes on her for a moment before they locked with Liam, trying his best to be respectful of their relationship.
Riley took the elevator down a few floors to her room. Walking in the hallway and knocking on her door, praying that Daniel was already gone. The door was opened almost instantly, revealing Julia who was already completely ready and packed for the day.
"What time did Daniel leave?" Riley asked walking in the room, hearing Julia hum almost in confusion for a second that Riley didn't pick up on.
"Oh, early" She said, closing the door behind her, "Before sunrise" She added while Riley grabbed a change of clothes from her bag, and replaced them with her clothes from last night.
"How was your night with Liam" Julia asked, sitting down on the bed when Riley walked into the bathroom to get ready.
"It was good" Riley said from the bathroom, swapping out Liam's clothes for new ones before hearing a knock on the door. Riley went to open it when she was done getting dressed, letting Julia in.
"Was it good or was he good" She asked wiggling her eye brows with a smile.
"It was good" Riley emphasized, "We didn't do anything"
"What" Julia gasps, "I thought for sur-"
"I just wasn't ready" Riley cut her off, walking out of the bathroom and past her when she was finished. She started gathering a couple things around the room and putting it into her luggage.
Julia looked at Riley oddly before following her to the living room, sitting down on the couch across from her. Almost like she was judging her, but shifting the conversation immediately.
"Well I for one had a great time last night" She tried to joke, but Riley just looked at her with a scrunched up nose.
"I'm happy for you, but I don't want to hear about Daniel's sex life"

Most drivers on the grid flew to Japan the next day rather than back to where their teams headquarters was based. Including Liam, and where he went Riley followed, booking another room with Julia to share that week with the promise her and Daniel weren't just going to take it over. Riley was getting ready for that nights grid dinner, aswell as dressing approprietly for a karaoke bar that everyone was going to for drinks after dinner.
